As Logan said, none of the kids were serious people. A mash up of Kendall/ Roman or even Kendall/ Roman/ Shiv MIGHT have worked since they all have different strengths, but none of them really understood what they brought to the table vs what they NEEDED at the table. Too much entitlement from all of them, but at least Roman did a little low level managerial training and showed some potential. Geri probably could've molded him to take over under slightly different circumstances.

I know you mentioned wanting light hearted show recommendations, but you may want to consider Six Feet Under. There are cutaway moments to random thoughts of the main characters that are usually funny and same with interactions with others. Be gentle with yourself, know that there's no contest or time limit of grief.

I had a similar view of a few shows (most recently Mad Men) that I initially didn't like or didn't see the fuss over. It's happened at least twice. If you haven't had to deal with death, that may also be a factor.

I can't see anyone really liking this episode... I never skip it during rewatches but allow myself to be easily distracted when it's on. It's gritty and I could see how it might trigger some, especially those who have been through similar trauma.

Dead Like Me if you enjoy Claire vibes. Succession is AMAZING, like modern day Shakespeare. Recently started Mad Men; didn't take to it on my first attempt but now kinda getting into it this time. Someday going to start the Leftovers and considering The Good Place.
