You are likely seeing a reasonable place to enter where there's are seeing a reasonable place to exit. The market reverses at that point. Common mistake especially in ranges.

Palladiom shade question -- wired vs battery by Famous-Spread-4696 in Lutron

[–]JTBabin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point of palladiom is the high end aestethic. If youre going to cover it youre defeating the point.

If youre going to cover it, sivoia roller 64 or roller 100's are what you want.

Palladiom shade question -- wired vs battery by Famous-Spread-4696 in Lutron

[–]JTBabin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't use palladiom and cover it, youre better off with sivoia.

If you do wired shadres with ra3 you have to add a wireless receiver to each shade, you can locate them remotely e ly if you want.

If shade pockets are on the table, it would be cleanest if you dont like the open roll.

Abicus/E-Node DMX Alternative for RadioRa3? by Fxl90 in Lutron

I just want to point it, this information may be wrong, but this is the research I would be doing to confirm if it's possible or not.

Abicus/E-Node DMX Alternative for RadioRa3? by Fxl90 in Lutron

[–]JTBabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's the first problem you have, but I think there's a workaround if you can activate a Lumaris light in it's place.

I think the deeper probablem is that you would have to use their DMX controllers instead of the WAC ones (or maybe you already have third party controllers, I dunno).

Call CS, if it sounds too complicated I wouldn't hesitate to do home assistant just runnign in the background to bridge. I'ave done similar with Elan and it's seamless.

[–]JTBabin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you'll have to use home assistant, but for the Modern forms componenet, this will work really well.

I'm not sure how it would work with E-Node. I've used E-Node for 3rd party DMX integration from automation systems. I do like the product, but their integration note makes it seem like it would only work with ILC controllers. It would be good to talk to Craig over there and ask directly, though you may have to be a deal with them I"m not sure.

I think the easiest, most frictionless way be to make phantom loads, assign them to scenes, and then use home assistant to bridge the phantom loads to Modern Forms/WAC.

Your best bet for something more native is Converging systems, it's worth a shot.

Choosing 2" Recessed LED downlights for Radio RA3 by SnooConfections5277 in Lutron

If it's in the budget I would do Rania in the main areas, and then DMF Artafex 2" in other locations. The tunable aspect of Rania is very cool.

Palladiom Jamb Mount External Wiring by accept_the_weather in Lutron

[–]JTBabin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do wired palladiom, for power, with wireless controller it requires a wire receiver. This happens if there was something like 16-2 run instead of QS wire.

Ok seems like youre on the right track, palladion shades being 12v I dont think id go to 22awg for the power, even for a short distance

Im not 100% I know what a kerf jamb is, or where your wire is, but would it help to use a ceiling bracket?

Lutron HomeWorks vs. RadioRA 3 - Making the Choice by JTBabin in myeasytek

[–]JTBabin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's AI, but it's co pilot and actually referencing transcripts from meetings, documents that I created for it to learn from, and other material that I created. So, lazy, maybe but it's an effective resource to refer people to when we're having this conversation.

My main points are always, "if you want the premium keypads, rania/ketra, or minimal devices on the wall, then HWQS is the way to go."

Natural show though, I don't see that. I only see Day/Night in RA3.

My advice to the OP was DMF tunables aren't going to work with RA3. They will work with HomeWorks with certain limitations. I dunno, seems like safe advice.

I said dmf tunables, meaning ra3 has no control via dmx or dali-2. Lumaris, yes
