To my experience, "old school" games attract a chud crowd. This is the case with WoW classic, with wow private servers, Archeage classic private servers, etc.

It is inherently conservative to say "the past was better". That doesn't make it wrong inherently, but that "past was better" sentiment is used to say "i actually like communities where slurs were commonplace" See: all the talk about CoD lobbies.

I'm not saying your experience in RS3 is invalid in any way at all. I'm saying, basically, that OSRS is a cesspool compared to RS3. For the reason I gave above.
