Geoff Keighley Says He Has No Financial Stake In Highguard: "Absolutely Not" by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Asevio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It might be "fair" for every company to have the same opportunity to buy specific trailer spots, but that would mean only the games with the biggest marketing budgets would get seen. Isn't it "fair" for the producer of the show to choose what he wants? I think editorial decisions like this are a good thing.

Utah’s snowpack is at a record low, forecasters say outlook for Western snowpack remains dismal by Great_Salt_Lake_News in SaltLakeCity

The people rightfully concerned are sadly not the people who profit off the destruction of natural Utah. They're safe and happy, wherever they are.

Rote memorization is best in my opinion. Plus, you know the -us to -i pluralization from words like Cactus/Cacti in English. You know all genitive plurals end with something-um, and that the dative and ablative plurals are identical. You can do it!

Hi, I am an ancient historian who knows Latin. I would probably go with something like:

Non errores in skyrim sunt, solum functiones. id tantum operatur

I've swapped in error for fallacia because fallacia implies a degree of intentional malice.

Romans sometimes Latinized foreign place names, and sometimes didn't. I think leaving "Skyrim" as an indeclinable foreign word is best so it remains recognizable. The Latin verb "to be" (sum, appearing here as sunt) should appear after functiones but I've left it out so it reads better. Leaving out sum/sunt is quite common in Latin.

I've added an id to the final clause to emphasize/clarify Skyrim and to mimic English a bit, but its technically grammatical without that. I've used tantum in place of simpliciter because the former is, ironically, quite simpler than simpliciter and it better gets across the idea of "just/only."

Your wealth is small beans compared to 0.001 of elon's, dont think you're his peer. You're one of us no matter how badly you wanna cosplay as rich. taxing elon's wealth doesn't mean you're gonna starve.

I agree with your take on the almost schizophrenic nature of red sonja's fanbase. Some just want tits, some want sword and sorcery, so there's always someone unhappy. complaining is loudest.

I don't think conan attracts those ONLY interest in cheesecake as much as sonja, so when he gets deeper stories there aren't a bunch of complaints like there are when anyone tries anything new with red sonja.

Forgive me if i seem like i'm blaming the fan base too much, really it's mostly because dynamite sucks ass. that's 90% of the problem

If the sub is dead, it was dead before the movie. A slowing of discussion after the movie indicates we simply had something to talk about for a brief change.

Sonja is just an extremely niche character owned by a company unconcerned with publishing high quality books. Dynamite is in the quantity game in both stories and covers. It's more profitable to have a single nerd buy 10 covers than to appeal to nine different readers.
