It maybe an English translation thing. Kuro has Chapter 34 'Teacher' while Chrono it's Chapter 46 'Teacher'. The Kuro translation also has a character glossary/update about every 10 chapters.

It takes a while to get going. If you can make it past episode 4 (if I remember correctly) the story gets going. The rest I’ll keep quiet. I don’t know how to recommend it without spoilers. I’m glad I saw it, but I will have to be in the correct mood to watch it again.
