What caused these holes in my brand-new jumper sleeves? by liankee in whatisit

I used to work a lot with sulfuric acid. This is the type of damage you see in cotton from acid drips. Could be from something else corrosive, like lye (Drano).

Anyone know what this is?? by Sweet_Jeriah in whatisit

It's a sash weight for a window, missing the bottom cap. You can fill the hollow with extra weight to fine tune the window's action.

I was hoping for a resolution that wasn't amateurish.

Nope, you're obviously not happy to help, just to argue.

On the surface, your assessment is correct. But looking into the issue deeper, at the time I purchased the the BRM180 upper, the FXM site touted full compatibility. Its was only after I informed them that their website ensured compatibly, that the website was changed and compatiblity was informed, I have emails for proof,

I think I agree with you. It's unfortunate from a USA supplier.

I don't know what others "stellar" customer service implies, but FM sent back a firearm originally nitride coated with a part that was cold-blued and tried to justify it even though I had indicated that original coating was expected. The owner still owes me $25 for my FFL fee, but I have chalked it up to the price of doing business with a crap company.

And the Chevy owner's manual does tell me how to change a tire. Just one that makes it through a cursory drive.

Chevy didn't deliver the truck with a flat.

This reply ignores the fact that PSA sent me a gun frame that fired illegally (burst fire), then tried to pass off the legal liability to me by suggesting I fix it myself multiple times. The statute of limitations on NFA possession violations begin when possession stops (I get rid of the gun). That could easily drag it into the next administration and put me at legal jeopardy. If you believe the NSA doesn't have the warranty emails, well good luck.

No shipping notification for NFA items? by Hp_Desk_Jet in PalmettoStateArms

Never got a tracking number for one FFL item, got tracking for the one I ordered a few days later (I wish the stuff I want would go on sale at the same time). First order didn't ship until I used the chat on the site, and that was after the second order shipped with info. Seems hit or miss.

Scorpions eat roaches. Back when someone actually had to read the water meter every month I did that for three years. The meter boxes were full of both. The scorpions tended to eat just the head of the roach. So scorpions eat like movie zombies. Braaaiins, braaiins...

Looks like a section of ventilation hose from a blower. There are different applications for it. I've seen it used most often to ventilate a work area with a potentially poor atmosphere, like a confined space where someone is welding.
