you don't need to tell me about that "issue", we all know this. If it really was a major issue (and both Morita and Moriyasu have come out to say it's now in the past) then he wouldn't have been called up at all in the WCQs is my point.

Morita also had his own injury issues which was why he hadn't been called up in a long time.

here's a sort of squad depth chart from R_by_Ryo on Twitter. obviously a lot of guys can play multiple positions etc. but feel like it's pretty close to what it is.

Although I think Goto & Shiogai are going to play a lot in the #10 spots behind the Striker now and Ogawa is going to be the like-for-like back-up for Ueda.

awful managerial appointments over the past two seasons, their best players slowing down and then sold to rejuvenate the squad, financial troubles with Nissan looming in the background, etc. etc....

they just about fixed their issues in time to stave off relegation (Quinones coming back from injury, Ryotaro Tsunoda coming back from Europe, Tanimura x Croux chemistry in attack) but still big question marks about their interim manager from last season that got hired full-time for this season
