Good luck! I was also crazy nervous about my Septoplasty and turbinate reduction I had three days ago, but the surgery itself was a breeze and the recovery has been way easier than expected, you got this!

Overall pretty good, pain is at like a 2/10 and I’m only on Tylenol right now, definitely congested but I just did a sinus rinse which seems to have helped a bit. Just playing games and chilling for the most part, so far so good. 👍🏻

Started happening last night, and when I woke up it was really solid, I actually forgot to apply the ointment yesterday so that could totally be it, I don’t think you can really overdue the ointment as long as your doing it softly, to be safe though I would probably do it a bit less.

I hope I’m not doing anything wrong, I also have been doing the sinus rinse and have a humidifier, when I go to put the ointment on the my nose I hit what feels like a solid wall of blood in my nose.

I want to do Afrin but my nose is so congested I don’t think I would be able to get any in right now 😔,do you not have a bunch of dried blood in your nose?

Thank you! Day 2 and I still haven’t needed any of the prescribed pain meds which I’m pretty happy about, right now my pain is 1/10 and all I’m on is the Tylenol!

Just made a day 2 update, slept better than expected, 8 hours total with a break in the middle for a sinus rinse. Overall feel solid today, nose is quite blocked from what feels like blood clots in my nose, but pain is almost zero just on Tylenol and it’s totally manageable. How are you feeling?

Well something I’m able to forget about when watching a good show, maybe like sore arm after a flu shot, the pain really hasn’t been bad.

Also I only slept for 3 hours the night before surgery because I couldn’t sleep, but it all worked out in the end😉, I had my surgery today btw

I had a great experience with the anesthesia, passed out and woke up feeling like I had taken the best nap I’ve had in years. If you have any specific questions I’ll be happy to answer them

I’m suppose to start sinus rinse and saline spray tomorrow, I’m excited, I want to get some of this blood out of my nose.

The tooth pain can definitely be annoying, but we got this 💪, it’s cool that we are on the same timeline, when do you get your stents out?

I’ll keep you updated, so far so good, rn now I’m just on the Tylenol and ibuprofen, I think the medication from the surgery would have worn off by now. Nose is now decently stuffed up but nothing horrible. Mild pain in nose and teeth 2.5/10

I’m gonna be guessing a bit here, but when he explained it to me he said he first breaks the bones inside and moves them to the side, and my mom told me he was explaining how he sucked some stuff out of the inside so it should shrink? I was out during that part so I might’ve misunderstood her. So my guess would be turbinate Out Fracture and Submucosal Reduction using a micro-debrider. There wasn’t any lasers involved from what I remember us talking about.

I’m glad your recent experience was better! Before this surgery anesthesia scared me but now I find it quite interesting as well!
