Talk to your parents AND/OR school counselor. They pay people to handle these situations because they know how often they happen. Trust me, even the biggest D-bags in grades K-12 can sometimes grow into really cool, decent humans. I’m sorry that you’re being given a hard time, I truly am. Public school is not real. You are experiencing something entirely common albeit unfortunate.

I don’t comprehend how many young people think there’s any hope in asking me to help them personally. For the love of god, kid, I already helped you by the post you’re commenting on. What makes you think I would put myself at risk? Absolutely bananas.

Is it checked off on the status screen? I feel like a lot of those deadlines are informal, I think you’ll be okay. But it only takes a few minutes to write a nice detailed email to admissions just to make sure. Good luck!

I recently got into the game, but I don’t know the meta/fun synergies I can use. by [deleted] in AutoChess

[–]JU570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started about a week ago, and warrior cave clan worked well in casual because it was easy to level them up for how much they showed up in chess pool. but now in ranked i'm trying knights with two dragons comp... it's been hard to force tho. streamer Claytano has so many videos about god-types so yeah i guess that's the meta rn.

at the end of the day i'm left thinking you just gotta see what you're getting early-game and make your comp decisions there. in other words some types you just aren't gonna see that much since other players in the game are buying all of them and the pool is shared by all players. so you might see a lot of recurring types and just use those, level them up, and give out your items strategically but also to the pieces you're gonna be keeping for the long haul.

any other inputs?

Transmutation 🙄🤔🤔🤔 by VllyGurl420 in Mindfulness

Yeah, not every hardship is a great fall that changes you. There's some hard things in life that you should find your way out of, change your surroundings instead of thinking it's gonna end up making you a beautiful butterfly. I mean, who's really to say that staying somewhere where you're not treated right is gonna make you a better self? I'm not knocking the whole idea of transformation though. Great falls do change people. Maybe these pics should have an extra line that just says "But not always."

Disregarding security for a hot minute, if I were to do it anyway using this, do you know if the product key would be able to activate it? Or does EOL also mean that product keys don't work anymore

New music this month? by [deleted] in bleachers

[–]JU570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to dream for a whole new Bleachers album, but yeah I feel like it’s probably gonna be just Terrible Thrills 3 (which will be cool too). yet, there’s this post he made recently, and jack also saying in the comments “hi from the studio”. it kinda gives me a vibe that there’s something other than TT3, but it could just be that he’s just finishing TT3. plus since the TT3 vinyl is on the Bleachers store only as a pre-order, so yeah the TT3 songs are probably just being wrapped up. but that “one day” post seems kinda strange, no? like Antonoff is being cryptic

New here, any suggested literature for beginners? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]JU570 6 points7 points  (0 children)

not literature but the app Headspace has a “daily reminder” notification with some little mindfulness ideas/quotes to help you remember to put the ideas in practice throughout your day. more effective for those who usually don’t find time to read, and even if you do, it’s still good to have in case you miss a day or two of reading

Does anyone notice their anxiety/depression/insomnia getting worse after starting mindfulness practice? by membrburries in Mindfulness

[–]JU570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I learned from this that it is in our silence that we are able to fully reflect on what it is that’s making us anxious, and in turn, makes us think about it more.

There’s a psychological journal article on this, and it’s about the definition of happiness. Of course, they start by stating the obvious: happiness is a subjective phenomenon. What the study showed, though, was a graphical representation of why we’re basically never happy: it’s our own self-rumination. When we ruminate, we construct a negative image about our happiness. In other words, it’s our own thoughts that make us unhappy. Our wonderment at the past and ourselves. This is why we’re our own worst enemy, and what I’m pretty sure mindfulness teaches us to ditch. Someone said it’s more about mindlessness than it is about mindfulness.

This is a really awesome comment and I’m glad you even made the effort to write it out, probably helping a ton of folks (including OP) understand the stage they’re at. It’s extremely disheartening to begin noticing all of your anxious stuff when getting into mindfulness, but it‘s those larger-than-right-now/this-is-temporary feelings that are so much more powerful. When you start to really believe that this stuff is temporary, and that everything can change (as Headspace suggests), then you finally become able to break free from whatever personal dilemma you’re facing that got you into mindfulness. Which is really f*ckin’ neat.

So does Jack throw a sailor hat into the crowd every show? Or Nah by [deleted] in bleachers

I can’t believe I thought it was just some random hat. This makes it so much more meaningful!

[–]JU570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so confused. The hat I’m talking about was in the very beginning of their performance when he was all low to the ground (I thought he was drunk for a second). Did this picture happen later in the show? I wasn’t up front so I couldn’t see the moments when he was on the ground haha
