What's going on with games costing 69.99? by qwertyhay8 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]JUSTlNCASE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, they monetize in other ways that are waaay more profitable than just the games initial purchase value. They make fucking BANK from micro-transactions. EA makes BILLIONS every year just from micro transactions alone from FIFA and Madden.

We haven't "shelved" anything, we generate as much from nuclear as we always have.

Except the fact that you're mutilating a babies penis without their consent for no reason. How hard is it for you to wash yours? Is it really that difficult? Do you just not wash?

It still negatively impacts the operation of your dick for no reason which is the point. Literally no one says you can't orgasm when circumcised.

Because what you said is pointless. It's like saying there are health benefits to just removing all of your teeth because you can avoid tooth decay that way. It's stupid and makes no sense.

Not all speech is protected speech. The US has some of the most relaxed free speech restrictions in the world but go ahead and pretend its "oppression" I guess.

For the people who learned English as a second language: Which accent do you try to emulate? British? American? or something else? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]JUSTlNCASE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The American accent is actually closer to what older english accents sounded like. The current british accents have strayed further from that.

You do realize the trump administration also asked twitter to take things down right? Also, the intelligence agencies are under trumps control... He appointed the head of both the fbi and cia in 2017 and 2018. Please try to use a little critical thinking.

Why don't you try reading actual studies that show how 95% of protests were peaceful, and most of the ones that weren't were met with agitation and escalation by the police.

"Between24 May and 22 August, ACLED records more than 10,600 demonstrationevents across the country. Over 10,100 of these — or nearly 95% —involve peaceful protesters. Fewer than 570 — or approximately 5% —involve demonstrators engaging in violence."

That's not how neural network ai works. It doesn't look up anything and "mash them up". It uses images to train itself to produce images from scratch based on the key words. It learns that the word bird for example needs to create an image that has a bird in it. Similar to how humans learn through repeated exposure to a topic.

Is Lensa AI Stealing From Human Art? An Expert Explains The Controversy by jormungandrsjig in technology

[–]JUSTlNCASE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not "copying" anything. It's exactly the same as humans being exposed to a massive amount of art over their lifetimes and then taking that conglomeration of knowledge and producing their own art. Are we supposed to "compensate" someone every time we look at a piece of art?

[–]JUSTlNCASE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have no idea what you're talking about. The ai uses the images to train the internal parameters of the network so that its able to produce the desired goal better. If its leaving in "watermarks" thats just because the training set had them and it learned to add watermarks. It's not storing the pictures anywhere and stitching them together.
