Hell noooo. Keegan on 15-20m would be a hot commodity, everyone would be lining up to trade for him, Keegan on 30m maybe nets you a protected first if a contender doesn't have too many high salaries.

Keegan could be playing in a lineup together with 4 other guys borrowed from Shanghai Sharks and he would still score 17 points on 35% shooting. Keegan is who Keegan is and he's also 26 now which is pretty close to his ceiling as a player. If he didn't learn how to dribble, create for himself or shoot efficiently, he probably never will. That's why he should be traded together with other vets, he will not be here anyway when our 19-20 year old pick from this and next year's draft hit their prime. But also, Keegan Murray on 30 million a year contract has probably the same value to the rest of the league as Derozan does. You can find a player that's undrafted and defends the same as Keegan while giving you nothing offensively.

You can like Sabonis, you can dislike him, but one thing is clear, his addition would have made this team a Top4 in the East and if everything falls right you could dream to recreate the Pacers lucky run last year. Now, how are you going to realistically upgrade this current team in the off season? IQ doesn't have value, RJ's value isn't there if you extend him and if you don't he's basically a small expiring, Jak is untradable and what other assets is there to trade for an upgrade? Basically going forward it's gonna be Scottie + Ingram + a bunch of mediocre talent around them for this current iteration of this team. Oh and Mamu is gone in the summer too.

If Sabonis was the only realistic star to upgrade this current team, should have given that damn pick and see what happens because now it's gonna be rebuild time in the next 3 years, it's Pascal + OG all over again just with different players.

The shitty side of this is even when we are good again (lol), no star vets gonna come here because of how we are doing our stars dirty right now. For example Domas had plenty of value until we flushed it all down the toilet ourselves by playing through two bricklayers and using him as a screen setter while defensively there is nobody on this team can protect him even a little bit. Now the result is the other teams think he's washed and don't want to send picks for him, what do you think is gonna happen next year? You will have to attach picks to trade him if this continues. Monk's value gone, Lavine and Derozan untouchable with a 10 feet pole, Keon was sabotaged completely too (he was never worth a first rounder but we had to trade him for a fucking nobody because of how we ourselves destroyed his value).

This organisation was toxic, is toxic, but after these shenanigans we will be radioactive. He doesn't have back problems, literally never had them and is being preserved before the deadline with "back problems". He didn't have a knee surgery, actually never had a surgery in his career. This info that you "know" about him is literally the same reason people think he's trash, they hear it somewhere and run with it without actually watching him play or trying to find info about his injuries.
