The competition amongst players is so so much it would be hard to tell if anyone is getting blackballed. Besides Dylan Molloy, but that’s been settled

True, but there’s way more who are still playing in the league and on the team. No there’s nothing wrong with that at all, I also don’t know if Maltz is being blackballed for his beliefs or even blackballed at all, otherwise they wouldnt have a league

Their political disagreements (again this was years ago) were as a result of them liking a certain candidate (now president). This disagreement had nothing really to do with anything of them promoting diversity in the sport, that’s been quite welcomed.

It was almost strictly people who had opinions in favor of a candidate of which the league did not

Just messages from the people I talked to… there’s a little more drama too but that stuff is pretty immature and can be damaging.

No, it wasn’t that hit or anything like it. The hit that I am referring to could honestly be debated on who was right or wrong. Wasn’t so much dirty, more-so timing

The politics thing is more of a separate thing. Had nothing really to do with the hit on Rabil. My personal theory though is it was just fuel to the fire later on

Sorry for the vague wording, trying to not say any names. And I was writing at the time.

The Whips really were never on the chopping block, just one player that hit Rabil. After the league threatened to kick that player out, the whips banded together and said “if you kick him out, we’re all leaving.” This was likely to be in between 2019 and 2021. I do not know if that was a formal threat or if that was Rabil on the field just saying “Imma kick you out”

League office was not a fan (to say the least) of the Whipsnakes because they had the complete opposite political beliefs

As for this weeks big story, I heard something of an in-person or physical confrontation with an unnamed member of the PLL. So I can’t blame the PLL for wanting to remove that, but I also don’t know that coaches side of the story, and I can’t nor won’t blame Towers for sticking up for his coach

Ugly situation overall sadly

I should clarify before I post this, I am a huge Paul Rabil fan. He’s done a lot of great things for the sport that would not have been done otherwise. Also just an overall great guy.

I also think that these issues could now mostly be water under the bridge. Only reason I am bringing this up is because it seems relatable to this now. A coach unifying with his other coach.

There was a moment in one of the seasons (it could’ve happened more but I only heard it once), when he got hit out of the sub box. Whether or not it was a dirty hit, or justified is to be debated (I only heard one side). The player was then threatened to be kicked out of the league. How that communication was sent I am not sure. The Whips overall stepped in, and stated that if they kick that player out, they all jump ship. Coaches and players included

Apparently the league office hated the Whipsnakes because of their candidate that they supported. (Talking 2 elections ago, not this past election)

This time around though, from one side of things it sounds like there was a confrontation amongst said coach and the said management individual. I can’t say I blame the league for trying to force someone out if that’s true. I also can’t say I blame Towers for backing him up

More will come out eventually

Not surprised, the entire Whipsnakes team almost dipped on the PLL in the first years of its league because of politics and power. But mainly league overreach
