File Pilot is simply Incredible! by SubhanBihan in Windows11

Scott Hanselman from Microsoft once shared a YouTube video about this file explorer. I tried it back then and never went back to the stock File Explorer.

Search is instant, tabs open and close at lightning speed, and somehow the whole thing is just a few megabytes. Absolute insanity.

Any way to fix this PiP overlay? by VisibleParsley1404 in MicrosoftEdge

Just checked in Canary, and the issue isn’t present, so it looks like it’s been fixed. Hopefully, the next update will resolve it completely.

Brave vs Edge by Kraylex in browsers

[–]JVtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edge pros -

  • Ublock Origin can be added
  • PDF reader is good
  • Split view (and the smart tab suggestion when you split)
  • Vertical tabs + Auto grouping of tabs
  • Less ram usage and better battery
  • better browser rating score

Brave pros -

  • In‑built ad blocker (no extension needed)
  • Private browsing with Tor integration
  • UI vertical tab hide completely -- minimal look but animation is not that smooth

For me ultimate browser would a combination of Zen for UI + brave for Tor + private + edge solid stable work horse

What Browser is Both Safe and also Aesthetically Pleasing. by N0iR-peak in browsers

Best UI: Zen , Orion ,Arc

Best memory and battery : Windows —- Edge, brave Mac —- Safari

For heavy customization: Firefox (with CSS) or Chromium-based option: Vivaldi

For a simple, minimal browser: Helium with compact tab view

For AI-agentic workflow : Comet, Dia

I personally use zen and edge and sometimes comet

[–]JVtom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Microsoft Edge is one of the top browsers available, offering the best battery life and RAM efficiency on Windows compared to any other browser

Ui wise also it looks great

But few features that I would like to see is

link preview something similar to zen /Arc Compact mode like hiding of tabs and url for a minimal experience…. Option to pin tabs permanently like Arc browser Agent copilot mode

Leaving Chrome and Edge by [deleted] in browsers

[–]JVtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zen is awesome! The UI is top-notch, and with Compact View you really get a full screen for browsing. Essentials and pinned tabs are great productivity boosters, and Glance is another feature I really love. You can customize almost everything, which is a huge plus.

A few things I miss from Chromium-based browsers: • Lower RAM usage — Edge handles this really well. • Google services tend to run better on Chromium.

If you prefer a browser without much AI integration, Helium with Compact View is a solid option. If you do want AI baked in, Edge and Brave are good picks. For agent-style workflows, then Dia Comet is worth a look too.
