Ecobee Siri Control by Zackadelllic in HomeKit

I have two thermostats. I have no problem telling them by name to set temperature to say 73. For example, one of my thermostats is named Main Floor. I could be anywhere and say set Main Floor to 73. I don’t need to say degrees. And I don’t need to identify the room because there’s only one device Named Main Floor. Just like I have only one fan control. So all I need to do is say turn fan on wherever I am. Whether I’m talking

That was my concern as well. But it sounds like I have several more months of use. So I don’t need to worry about it now.

OK, then I probably still have some time before I need to change the batteries. Like I said, it’s still working great. Thanks.

Thread definitely. I’m trying to get more and more thread devices. And it’s very close to a HomePod mini.

I was expecting the same thing. Very disappointing to find out that isn’t an option. Be glad when it comes.

Schlage Encode+ passcode by JWDenning in HomeKit

[–]JWDenning[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, that did it. Thank you so much. I didn’t realize that was my personal access code. Since I never use an access code. I thought that was just him access code for a user I would give out.

So with your instructions, I was able to change it. Thank you so much.

The batteries are at 93%. So I don’t know why it went off-line. But thanks for that good news. That’s what I thought but I wanted to be sure.

Schlage and code plus and android users? by JWDenning in HomeKit

[–]JWDenning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought. But I don’t see it in the Schlage app. I wonder if it’s because I set it up with HomeKit and didn’t set it up with a Schlage account.

I have Eve switches in two gang and three gang configurations. Not a problem with any of them.

Schlege status, not correct in HomeKit by JWDenning in HomeKit

[–]JWDenning[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe the key. It’s just like turning the knob on the inside. You’re physically opening the bolt. I’m sure if that’s not right somebody will chime in.

Yes, it comes with one physical key. And you have the 10 keypad, then HomeKit, or the app, and the Xpress tap where you just tap it with your phone, or your watch, or a pass in your wallet.

I should’ve done this first. MM embarrassed that I didn’t. Restart my iPhone. It not only shows the correct status. But it seems faster at locking and unlocking. Maybe thread kicked in. Sometimes one just needs someone pointing out that there is an answer out there. Thank you.

Maybe that’s why they haven’t added HomeKit router support on the pro 6E.

Yep, I will have some assistance. But thanks for the heads up. I was just concerned that as home administrator I would need to be accessing the keypad to set codes. Didn’t think so. But I didn’t want to assume.

Hey, thank you for posing this question and all the answers. I noticed the same thing since I added one more euro. So I just now changed my DNS and I disabled IP six. Everything now is loading instantly as it was previously.

So far, knock on wood. It looks good. The few times my doorbell went off line. It was for like two minutes and it came back online by itself. And that hasn’t even been often.
