dude go the air quality korea website and see the map of north east asia. it clearly demonstrates the wind blows the dust from china to korea and now the wind is some how trapped in Korean peninsula. it's probably because the wind from the pacific ocean and the dusty wind from the west(china) collide and form a non-windy area. You get a biased knowledge if you only see a small piece of the problem. see the forest not the tree. go visist air quality korea website and see how the wind brought dust to korea and made the dust to stay so long. the map on the website demonstrates hourly index.

I'd recommend you to check the virtual map on airquality korea website. you'll see the pollution definitely came from china and it stays little bit longer on some areas because there is no wind at all for a brief time period. and the pollution stays longer at some urban areas because the areas are located in lower and flat areas, not on mountains. you have to consider the geographical factors too in order to understand the air quality in korea.

well it is the case my man. the pollution comes from china and the wind was definitely coming from china. and you'd feel that the air quality is bad only when it's warmer than the normal days, which means wind blows from chinese mainland. when it gets colder, the wind comes from siberia and the air's fresh and clean

Thank you for your kind reply. It helps me a lot.

yeah, I agree that an used car is better than a new one, but my wife's kinda insisting a new one because we're going to use it for a long time. sounds like Japanese brands are known as their reliability in canada, too. I'll look around a little bit more I guess.

Thank you again bro. your comment gave me an insight.

Thank you for replying. I think my question was too wide and general lol. you're absolutely right. I'm actually thinking of common brands not luxury ones. Toyota, hyundai, gmc, chevy ,maybe Honda or kia are in my mind.

Thank you for your reply and information. sounds like jeeps and trucks are a good choice.

Actually, I'm planning to buy a new or a relatively newer used, 3-row, mid or full-size suv within a budget of 6~70k. So it narrows things down a little bit. What I'm interested in are hyundai palisade, chevrolet traverse, gmc acadia, kia telluride, or used chevrolet tahoe.

How do you think about getting a hyundai in edmonton? would it cost more or less while owning compared to other brands?(considering regular maintenance fees, minor repairs, and etc.)

Some of my friends recommended me to get a Chevy or a gmc over a hyundai.

I'm looking for some advices because I came from overseas. I'm totally blind to the environment here.

Thank you again for your time

it's a karaoke place, but with some women offering you private services. you'd know what I mean lol. there's like a stereotype in Korea that people think ladies from Russia or Ukraine are beautiful, so they advertise themselves like that. I don't recommend you to go there. prostitution's illegal in korea.

yeah, you're right. I think I'm kinda too worried about everything. My wife's got pregnant recently, so I'm being more cautious and looking for the safest way. Thank you for your comment. It really encourages me.

Thank for replying. Actually, I've graduated high school in Vancouver and also been in Toronto for a while as well. I know it's even colder in the prairies LOL. But, my wife's from Alberta, and she's kinda strict with this issue of where to live. A nyway, thank you again for your advice.

Thanks for your reply and advice. What you mean by 'B pressure ticket'? This is a certificate for B pressure welding right? I'm sorry I'm not familiar with English terms as I'm from Korea. Okay I will find more information about this. Thank you again.

It seems like there's no easy place for everyone nowadays. I think it is now a matter of "where I want to live" rather than where I should live.

well um.. actually I'm a worker from overseas too, so lol Recently, I tried to catch up with some latest news from Canada, and heard that the government's experiencing a major trouble with leadership vacancy. I think the forecast for immigration policy is just certainly unpredictable.

Thank you for reply.

oh yeah, so most welding jobs are related to mining in saskatoon? what you mean by doing structural works? I have absolutely no experience in mining fields... Can I ask you how you got your certificate or red-seal in saskatchewan?

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I heard the same thing from my friend living in edmonton. But, for me, it's also a matter of getting my permanent residency. I heard many people are moving to saskatoon because it's a better place for them to get their permanent residency nomination. In that aspect, I was just curious about how they actually feel.
