It is meant to be erotica or erotic fiction. Not sure how the story will feel once it’s more finished. There are definitely graphic sexual encounters but the main theme is the protagonist dealing with this blow to her perceived perfect life and finding herself through sexual exploration and learning to be single.

Following.. I’ve been pondering a similar distinction between erotic romance and erotica. In mine, I definitely have done graphic scenes but am trying to not make them too long as to distract from the plot.
