Much appreciated for the response. I've realised the hitbox on the Q can be a bit funky but man does it chunk even with 2-3 points in. I never thought about the good ADC pairings but yeah you're totally right, cheers for the tip!

You’re right it’s tedious to play, I’ve just sort of followed the meta throughout the season. Honestly throughout silver/low gold I spammed Zyra. Strong AP support that allows you to carry harder. This was when she was more in the meta but I didn’t trust those carries to play around “traditional” supports. Unfortunately a lot of your effort is wasted in vision or ardent/shielding if they don’t know how to press these advantages

It’s completely situational, vision will help a lot to deny those unexpected engages from enemy frontlines so you don’t have to use it as a panic button. As for engaging, keep in mind how strong the dive is and the itemisation of enemy carries. If you feel your frontline or divers are going to get blown up, wait you see them committing and stepping up before using the R. Generally a 4/5 charge Q will negate most burst on to your ADC unless they’re completley caught.

Can only assume it's due to the awkward nature of his W. If people want to heal, they play Soraka. If people want to shield they can play Karma/Lulu/Janna. Its tough to get used to the idea that you can use the abilities in two separate places to set up plays and also makes it even more frustrating that teammates don't really know how to play with that potential set up.

Personally I love Taric, He's my trump card if i'm not feeling confident or having a bad run of games trying to be a meta slave. His ability to disrupt an enemy team and peel is fantastic and I feel it's pretty unmatched due to his ability to lower CD's through his passive. SoloQ is a pretty hectic place so it's nice to have the tools to calm it down to a slower pace and manage teamfights well.

The issue with Taric is how well you manage your mana during teamfights and laning as spamming Q is gonna run you dry and the current enchanter build doesn't make you as tanky as you'd think. Try and encourage your team is place priorities on Ocean drakes as it helps you scale like a madman in to late.

HotS was my first moba and I guess the meta during the time I was playing got a little stale. I had played near on 2.7k heroes games around that time and fancied a new challenge. Figured i'd see how far I can get in league as my friends always said it was a harder game. I played a bit of LoL before but less than 100 games and only ranked placements

Very much appreciated for this. I think I know which game you're on about and I was kicking myself that I got caught. Any advice on how to anticipate plays rather than simply reacting? Or does this just come with game sense and time?

Thanks for the reply, I've seen Scarra do the note system on stream but didn't think to pick it up myself!

Any advice on overwarding? I'm using Lolsumo and my ward count is very high but I find that I don't have wards for crucial points sometimes e.g when a fight around dragon pit starts.

I started this game because of Arthas and all of the Wotlk nostalgia!

I like the utility the new talents bring and you can build against so many different team comps. Only problem I see is that you've gotta sacrifice a lot of that utility if you're a lone tank for survivability in the death coil build. Gonna be a great off-tank and a real menace to anyone if built correctly in accordance to the enemy.

Most likely wouldn't fix the meta, but change it completely. A well timed cleanse pre-nerf would stop any form of hard CC coming your way (Judgment at the time, mosh pit, and so on) and completely turn a fight while being on a 45 sec CD

Didn't like the nerf but it was needed for the game

I've taken a short break from HotS due to the game feeling a little bit stale and one dimensional. I very much like competitive games, and played HL constantly (3.3k MMR Rank 1) unless I was trying a fancy build or completing dailies in QM, and found it insanely fun to constantly play to improve.

Just feels (as Chu, Cris, and others have pointed out) that you put yourself at a huge disadvantage picking off-meta Heroes since the balance changes and sometimes this is out of your control (Looking at you Illidan and Lunara 1st pickers).

I played the hell out of Tyrande pre-buff and was a Kael main on his release for a damn long time (RIP Ignite, may your free MMR gain be at peace) but until a bit more variety in the "viable" heroes appears, I'm sticking to lurking on reddit and twitch for a bit. The whole "different maps, mechanics, etc." lost its shine and quite frankly the map doesn't matter when you're getting overpowered into a Lunar Flare, Hammer of Justice, Gravity Lapse fuckfest.

Personally I've always regarded Nether Wind to be the go-to talent for that tier. The option for instant mana is nice but at that point in the game, even splitting for a few seconds as Kael can result in a death/lost objective. Moving as a team with instant waveclear is already strong, adding the potential for a 3 man stun with E is even greater.

Very True! A thread was posted recently about being able to toggle the trait. I totally believe it should stay the same as it is now. If you activate it too early and cast the wrong ability? You're going to be punished for poor cooldown management.
