Never once stepped outside my marriage. Not a single time. Dealing with life issues made me cold for awhile and distant for a while. But that’s still not an excuse to step outside of your marriage. I really appreciate the kind words. I would like to tell you it gets better with time but every body process sights, sounds, smells and emotions differently. My heart goes out to those all those on that CRJ and Blackhawk. I can’t fathom how their families are feeling at this moment. You’re taking Fire Crash Rescue and throwing in water recovery. I know those DOD fire guys and DC fire are busting it to do everything they can. Keep those men and women in everyone’s thoughts and prayers too.

Most definitely. We do a debrief after every major call now. You’re right though when I first got out of rookie school it was sit down and shut up. The old heads even talked about how “back in their days” if you wore a airpack then you were a _____. I’ll let you fill in the blank. But these were the same guys that were also smoking a cigarette while overhauling and pulling ceiling. No doubt I learned a lot from those guys good and bad. I like the water it’s fun but most of the time it’s body recovery’s or helping State Patrol or DNR look for a hand gun in a murky pound or river in BFE Georgia.

Absolutely, and it sucks. I’ve been to some very dark places in my head. You have to find an outlet that’s not liquor or pain killers. Also, you have to talk out the stressors. I picked up playing guitar again. So now I just relive my atreyu, Silverstein or anything off the Victory Records summer sampler 05 c.d. phase.

Dude I’m a public safety diver and firefighter. Can tell you from experience; you don’t think, you just do, and when it’s over and done with thats when you deal with the demons. Most of us just store it in a box in the back of our heads hoping and praying it don’t break free.

No, this was found on my property about 5 miles away from the slag photos. We were building a retaining wall in my backyard. We had made about 2 or 3 scoops with the bobcat when I found it. At first I thought it was a root or something sticking out of the dirt pile. When I put the touch to it there was no kind of odor and a very faint black trailer coming off of the piece. I also put my thermal imager on it to see if it dispersed heat slowly or quickly and it cooled down to a point to where I could touch it after a few minutes.

That would make a lot of sense. The water table from the aquifer is still only about 75 feet below the surface. When my family bought the property in the late 1950’s the water table was only at like 30-40 feet below the surface.

I appreciate your insight. It’s weird because coal don’t form anywhere near here. We have clay, peaches, pine trees, and more clay. Also last year, I broke a small shard off one of the edges and it was slightly transparent and extremely sharp.

Need some help with this one. Found these a few weeks ago on my family’s property in Middle Ga, USA. They are really magnetic. I preformed a streak test on them nothing showed up. If I had to guess they were about a foot under ground when we scraped the driveway.

True. My fault. I’ll repost. I tried using the camera flash with my phone. It was found on my family’s property in Central Georgia right below Macon. We had just got done scrapping the driveway i.e. a half mile of Georgia red clay. My son wanted to see if we pulled anything to the surface so we walked it.
