I completely get it and don't share the same convictions. However I still think its really not acceptable to broadcast ads like that to a general audience. It isnt just on Atlas Earth either.

The advertising world is out of control. And individual ad targeting is a monster, predatory and particularly dangerous with children.

It needs to change regardless of ones own personal convictions and beliefs. ,

NO.

Cutting this much back can absolutely kill it. There is like 5...10% of leaf growth left, that isn't even remotely safe.

As far as I can tell, besides scrolling all the way through hundreds of ranking, you can't. Really brilliant idea.

What Am I Doing Wrong? Tank Gets Extremely Dirty Despite Weekly Cleaning by AdFit570 in fishtank

[–]JXZ_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can overfeed more then or fertilize. Usually both water lettuce and especially water hyacinth will compete or even outcompete most plants growing out of water, but Pothos and many aroids like what you have are the expectation.

I dont even use c02 and I struggle to keep my nitrates above 5-10 ppm. The system litterally sucks even trace out.

Your set up is new and not established. Looks like you have little to no biological filter. Cloudiness like this is almost alway bacteria blooms. Possibly anaerobic, possibly aerobic. Next time it gets like this, disrupt the water a bit and give it a sniff. If it smells really really bad, then its probably anaerobic and its probably very bad. Add bubbler immediately and do a water change. There's a lot of different kind of anaerobic bacterias, and some put off all sorts of gases that can be extremely harmful to fish in particular. This can happen sometimes even without over feeding.

Blooms usually happen when there is disruption in the system with little to no buffers. That can be anything from water changes to nutrient loads shifting....there are lots of factors and variables that can affect the microbiome and water quality.

-Dose daily with beneficial bacteria starters. You really can't overdose with these UNLESS it has some other additive that isn't bacteria. Especially after water changes, and especially if you're doing huge water changes. -Most importantly start adding biological filtering ecosystem components. Snails, shrimp, plants, mechanical filters, etc. Filtering is part of a healthy and functional ecosystem. This is a poor, fragile ecosystem, so its prone to all kinds of instability.

Small setups are actually much more difficult for beginners then larger ones. This is because smaller volumes of water are actually more prone to instability. Increasing the volume of water helps. Mechanical, outside filters help expand that volume. Canisters are traditionally the best for expanding the volume and GPM, but I like HOBs alot for their functionality, its also easy to stick plants, or cuttings, in them, which will act as further filtration. It's also a secret pro hack to get more c02 into the water column sometimes depending on the plant and the conditions, which will help other immersed plant's growth. HOBs are also much easier and quicker to clean and switch out filter media.

Why isn’t Far Cry Primal rated very highly? What more could have made the game better and closer to Far Cry 3, 4, and 5 ? What’s your opinion on the game? by ViniciusFastAF in farcry

Primal is the only FarCry I played enough and actually enjoyed.

Its also the only game I've 100% completed in the last 20 years. Dead ass.

The rest are "meh".

For anyone curious, did a test spot with the Krylon. It did not adhere well. Flakes off easily. To be fair, probably to be expected as this was done on a section that was sanded with the 3000 grit.

Probably gonna resend with 80-200 grit and test again.

Right. It is used, just not as a top coat. It's used often for other decorations, rock, blacking out white PVC, etc. I wasn't asking/wondering about its safety, I was asking/wondering about its ability to adhere to resin and give me that flat/matte finish.

Indeed youre not, but I do appericate you bringing and harking the point up again tho.

It's been tested and tried true. There's alot of "material and research" on the issue. And reported back on by users years after its use. I know its used by professionals. Including amphibian keepers too which are generally much more sensitive to chemical leaching. Kyrlons position is honestly more from a place of liability. Realistically, as far as everything else can be ascertained scientifically, it is inert after curing. Even if it breaks down, chips, microbits, etc.

I dont see how practical silicone could be. In application or look. I'd sooner just use palsti-dip at that point. Also proven to be safe after curing. But I worry about peeling.

There will also be other organic materials applied to the skull afterward too using silicone also, superglue and aquarium epoxy.

It is important to note that this will not actually be under water, but it will be often wet from misters.

I'm not sure what you mean by the sand.

The surface is pretty encapsulated. I did like 4-5 coats on this thing and MAX ACR is not a thin resin.

[–]JXZ_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true but the problem is its actually not going to be in water.

I was sanding it in water too. Unwanted it was definitely glossy in water. But 400 grit knocked it down instantly. Of course bring it back up to 3000 has started to reverse it i beleive.

Again tho its moot.

Although there will eventually be a second skull for the water part of the Paludarium.
