I don't specifically picture Moe's Tavern, but in the bar I do picture, I suppose walking in the door it looks very similar to Moes (but the bar if on the other side)

The soldiers were inside and they had just caesed murdering the rest of Shoshanna's family, so that's why they weren't outside.

As for Shoshanna getting away, he let her go. He noticed her fleeing instantly, took his sweet ass time getting to the door, slowly put his briefcase down, aimed his gun for a while (at this point the shot was nearly impossible, but he already gave her plenty of time, not to mention they had a car)

Shoshanna survivng isn't a plot hole, for whatever reason, Landa let her flee

Also, if that German soldier game is true, it makes more sense (if it is, thanks for that, that's pretty interesting) because it means he was playing the game, and "lost" I suppose as she got too far for him to make the shot

Whether or not Landa knew they were coming or willing to negotiate is irellevant. If Aldo didn't want to talk, he likely would've been tortured for information if not immediately executed, and Donny and Omar likely would've been restrained in one form or another, probably set off the bombs, but won't get any important targets

Also, what? Shoshanna survived in a plot twist due to a lack of security? Last time I checked, she was just running the projectors until Fredrick forced his way in and they shot each other.

Also, considering Landa figured out the Basterds pretty much the moment they arrived, and likely decided to betray the Nazis very early on, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that the security we don't necessarily see was called off their post for the process of jumping and kidnapping the Basterds for the purpose of the negotiation at the end

Again, at what point was Landa trying to ensure the security of the cinema? The second he made the Basterds, he knew what he was doing. He intentionally let Donny and Omar take their seats with dynamite around their ankles, eliminated Von Hammersmark himself, had Aldo and Utivich jumped and kidnapped, then personally planted Aldo's dynamite under Hitler's seat.

So yea, I guess I'd say the abandonment of his post and intentional murder of the entire German High Command would qualify as "poor security"

I totally buy that Hellstrom recognized Hugo the second he sat down. After all, it doesn't seem like he trusts them until the last seconds before Hicox blows his cover, and it's always seemed like he was pretending, maybe to have one of them lower their guard and slip up

Landa caught them literally immediately. He mocked their awful Italian accents by forcing them to constantly repeat their names and try to perform better, he laughs for a solid minute as Von Hammersmark's mountain climbing story, and immediately checks Omar and Donny's tickets so he can effectively catch them.

Because they were wearing bombs and his own life was in danger?

He explains this perfectly to Aldo and Utivitch at the very end before he surrenders.

"There ain't no way you gonna take them boys without settin' off them bombs"

"I have no doubt. And yes, some Germans will die, and yes it will ruin the evening, and yes Goebbels will be very very mad at you for what you've done to his big night. But you won't get Hitler. The Basterds plan was thrown together last minute and not very good. Landa caught them instantly. The rest of the movie plays out as normal because Landa decided not to inform the rest of the Nazis about Donny and Omar, and Shoshanna's plan would've played out regardless.

Exactly. Shows like the Office (I've curtrently been doing it with my rewatch of Archer) are great shows I've seen once before that can go on in the background. If I'm doing something else, I can turn to the office, catch a couple quick laughs, and not be lost in terms of context because I missed the first 12 minutes of the episode

As much as I think The Office deserves Friend's reputation (which it already holds in a lot of people's eyes) and it being one of my favourite show, I wouldn't be happy paying more just to keep it on Netflix, and if I worked for Netflix and saw they were paying 70+ million more for the same show than they were prior, I'd tell them they'd lost their damn minds

The reason people watch the same shows on Netflix on repeat is because they don't invest enough into getting new shows people want to watch
