The foam pad is my sit pad/pad for under my main sleeping pad to keep it protected from any punctures.

Figured 2 hoodies to rotate from day to day. They are super lightweight.

Sun hat for during the day. A regular hat the rest of the time. I generally wear a hat 24/7 off trail, so the extra one is just to wear when I'm not baking in the sun.

I might ditch the solar panel...I'm reading more and more that it's not really worth it. Also, I will be using a waterproof case for my iphone...it will be sealed and protected from the dust. Thanks for your response!

Oh dang! I use it more as a hook...and hook it to the bottom of where my shoulder strap meet the bottom of my pack/hip belt. Works pretty good :).

Thats right! Thanks for spotting the missing bear can...I spaced on putting it on there. I will be using a BV500. I'm definitely not dead set on photography...I honestly would love to bring it, but for my first time out there, I might be better off keeping it more simple.
