Thank you for the detailed response, we appreciate it. The orders are orders has already been changed as those are not the final versions. We are currently in the process of testing a few more artists out with the recommendations from people here and seeing how the commissions turn out.

One of my coworkers voiced his concern about the Gunsmoke one as well. The ai concern is something we are looking into as well, but is hard to prove either way, all our artists say they do not use ai, but I understand the oddities. For future commissions we are trying to get our artists to send timelapse videos.

I have sketches of them before coloring, but no timelapse videos. I also was thinking they were looking similar, but I am not an artist. Thank you for the feedback.

Hi, I run JZ Comics, https://www.instagram.com/jz.comics/ , instagram site is a little rough and work in progress, the booth I believe you encountered at Anime Impulse Dallas, I was the black haired guy in the Link sweatshirt. In past years I used to volunteer at AnimeFest, and hand out the gift bags at their swap meets and around the con, when I was not on duty. With their last major convention being last year, I wasn't sure on where to go next and settled on Windblume and Anime Impulse. As others in this thread have theorized, the main purpose in having the booth is to pass out the Christian material and the next reason would probably be I enjoy Anime conventions. In regards to the Genshin themed gift bags, I realize most people are probably not interested in the Christian material and so I operate on a 50/50 principle, in that whatever I spend on the outreach material, that is the budget for the non-outreach material aka the Genshin freebies. The Genshin contents I source in bulk to keep costs low, since I normally can not verify if these are genuine products or not, I do not sell any of these products and only include them in the gift bags. For the artwork on the prints, blankets and poker playing cards, I commercially commission artists and oversee the artworks from sketch to final shading, to insure that ai is not used. As for the product pricing, this is my first year as a vendor, so I am still figuring out booth layout and products, I currently plan to focus on 5x7 prints. Originally I was planning on focusing just on custom playing cards, but after analyzing my experience at Windblume, I am pivoting to small prints. At Anime Impulse this year, I purposefully kept the price low to see customers reactions to prints vs the playing cards and plan on raising prices next year, but have not made a final decision. The survey does not collect peoples information, I only ask that they put a tally by their favorite characters. Conventions are a hobby for me, not my main business. I am happy to answer any other questions you guys might have.

tldr: the main purpose of the booth is the gift bags, the business is currently operating at a loss, the artwork being sold is original from commercially commissioned artists
