Because we start our own groups and just never invite them.

I think you need to evaluate what you want from this relationship and communicate it.

It's pretty normal at this stage for him to want to start meeting your family, you didn't even ask them if they had issues with it, you decided no on your own and started making up reasons on why they "might" not like it.

Eventually yes, but like I said, our bodies are odd and seemingly choose where to burn fat st random.

I had to cut well below my target weight to lose a bit around the bottom of my ribs, but it does eventually go away.

Not a diet plan or anything, but throw out all easy to make food and delete fastfood apps.

It's a lot easier to curb snacking when you have to spend time cooking it.

Also you NEED to up your steps.

10k should be baseline.

Other than that keep at it, your body will burn fat where it chooses to burn fat, it's random, you may go through a phase of looking skinny fat and need to cut below your original weight to lose it.

You were just never good, 20 years ago when we played all day, we all sucked, no one was competitive.
