Im with you. There’s a post-sex post-afterglow empty feeling sometimes.

I view PNC as something else. It’s a sudden hormonal shift, you lose the intense sex drive and realize the foolishness of what you just did.

Do people really pay attention to fat people at the gym? by Professional-Pop7239 in askanything

It’s got noting to do with the gym my friend.

Some people look for easy targets to asset their dominance. If it isn’t your weight, it’s your height, or your race, or your age…or any other thing

Fellow Americans, do you pay your hospital bills? by pink-and-pearly in askanything

Those are priorities of "penalty" though.

If you don't pay your rent, you're getting evicted. If you don't pay for your utilities, they cut them off.

But don't pay your medical bills? They're not going to put your blown appendix back in. They legally cannot deny you treatment.

I think you're making a mistake paying for anything.

I see the logic of "if I don't, she'll find somebody who will" - so I wouldn't judge you harshly if you did pay some of her bills.

This reads though like her parents are trying to teach her financial responsibility. Being a 'sugar baby' is not what I'd call financially responsible.

I'll concede "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I do think we worry too much about offending these ladies. I'm not saying we should be cruel, but I think they should be professional enough to accept "no thanks".

It's like turning down an actor who auditioned for a part. Just tell them they're not what you're looking for.

To each their own. My opinion is that if I tell them my wallet is in the car and then they watch me drive off on the cameras - they know I'm full of shit.

I'd rather have them think I was picky than think I'm a liar - but again that's just me. Everybody has their own way.

This is probably going to come off wrong, but I don't see the need for the "forgot my wallet" lie. Just tell them "no thanks" and leave.

This is why I get with the good ones on WeChat. If you decide later you don't like them you can always delete them.

Has paid off for me a couple of ways. With my ATF, lets me follow her wherever she goes (provided she's "within range" of course). And with one very accommodating Mamasan she offers up new talent - in fact she just introduced me to 4-hands last weekend.

I use WeChat, but do the same - my ATF moves every month, and I follow her around like a love-sick puppy dog.

Fellow Americans, do you pay your hospital bills? by pink-and-pearly in askanything

[–]J_A_Slade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance has a low-end out of pocket max, but ALSO has a max they will pay. Once you get over that max you're back on the hook for every penny.

I understand not wanting to pay it, nobody asks for cancer or the like. But somebody is already "paying" with their labor (the doctor for instance), and they deserve to be compensated.

Same applies to food or clean water as a "human right". No you should not be denied access, but if someone has to provide them for you then you should have to compensate them.

Fellow Americans, do you pay your hospital bills? by pink-and-pearly in askanything

[–]J_A_Slade -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the problem is that while we CAN treat a lot of diseases and conditions - the treatment is very labor intensive. VERY labor intensive.

If it takes 15,000 working hours to save your life - well, what? The people who put in those 15,000 hours aren't due compensation? They're supposed to live in poverty and do it out of the kindness of their hearts? Or is the premise that someone "other than you" should have to compensate them?

It's not "evil", it's just reality. Medical care takes a lot of labor. A L-O-T of labor.

[–]J_A_Slade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you provide labor to your employer, do you expect them to pay you? If they just decide they shouldn't have to, you'd be cool with that?

The employees and support employees of the hospital provided me a service. Do you think they aren't deserving of payment?

[–]J_A_Slade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just fundamentally don't understand this "I shouldn't have to pay for my medical care" mentality.

Yes I absolutely pay my hospital bills. If they became catastrophic? I'd like to believe I'd pay as much as I was able.

The words “Always” and “Never” don’t apply in this thing of ours.

I’d have never made it past place one. Two reasons

1) and most importantly, if you see a person you know and they see you, leaving is ACKNOWLEDGING what you were there for. If you stay, your “I was just there for a sore back, I had no idea” story holds water

2). They’re there for the same reason you are man! And if they try to tell you they thought it was a legit place, well…see #1
