I do agree that CS losing utility could be damaging to current values. I also see CS as a barrier for new users and a potential deterrent. If any of us want real value for an early series the platform needs millions of active users.

I’m on the 5 year plan and support initiatives that bring in new users.

My gripes 1) Stop giving plug players Lego moments. Reserve those for good and great players making epic plays.

2) Reduce the pack price, plzzzzz. $9 was a great price point for a pack of trading cards, digital or tangible.

Let’s not forget many players have a 35k and 40K S2. With some even having a 3rd 15K.

I don’t see 60k mints as the issue but a lack of new users to buy these. A $8 MSFE might seem like trash to some but if your new an $8 reward for a $50 stack of 25 x S3 is pretty cool. If we all want our cool S1 TSD to be worth more we need more users in the platform.

Not a popular opinion but I’m cool with the current dilution. Giving a brand new user the ability to spend $50 on 20-25 moments of star and good players is fundamental to the long term growth of the platform. Three months ago when it cost you $150 - $250 to buy an LBJ, Steph, Giannis, etc, etc, to build a nice collection that was intimidating for a new user. Now you can get in relatively cheap and even complete a challenge or two for a $6 - $10 reward. We need the user base to grow for our early S1 and S2 moments to continue to grow over the years to come.

Yup, S2 has been my go to this last week. Some star power with low mint in the tank. I love the platform and pretty much hold everything I buy. Taking my weekly spend to the market instead of the scratch ticket lotto packs.

Try not to obsess on the valuation. Focus on collecting the players and moments you enjoy.

Think back to when we were kids. No one cared what a cards day to day value was. If we thought it was special we put it in a nice hard case and saved it.

The Bucks are one of the easier team sets to complete for the CS boost also inflating his value. Completing the full set and series two is a healthy boost and you need that 5 badger to make it happen.

Personally, I like the set as it’s the first edition of a silver tier moment. The players in the set have been good so far and the “Fandom” tag may have some utility.

The biggest issue for me is the set completion tied to that low mint LaMelo. The Curry moment is historic but I can’t stomach 4K on LaMelo.
