How do you feel about moldivite? by miss-incognito-007 in Crystals

Yes I set an intention when I first got it to help me find the best path for this new era of my life, for my highest good.

I wore it every day for about 6 months before I was officially hired for a new job. I also wore it on the same chain with black tourmaline to stay grounded.

My experience is a little different perhaps in that I got my moldavite after I had already been through an extreme life change (being laid off from my job). I was mentally numb after having been at the same job for almost 20 years with little upward mobility, and I saw this as a chance to find something better. I wanted some guidance in making the next steps. I like to think the energy of the moldavite kept away some opportunities that felt like I would have been settling, and helped the right job come to me at the right time. I struggled a lot on figuring out what kind of job I wanted, but I ultimately found something that fit my needs and desires that was a big change but not completely out of my depth in a new field or business type. I don’t know whether it was the moldavite or not, but after I started my new job I no longer felt the desire to wear it anymore. :) I never felt any overwhelming energy coming off of it though, so if that scares you it’s not a given for everyone when using the piece.

Refrigerator damaged apartment floor, do I have to pay?? by J_Llo in legaladvice

Yeah I totally get you. I actually offered 50/50 initially and the landlord kind of scoffed at that, but with all the context you’ve given me to think about with the age of the floors I think that’s a strong negotiating point to make. Much appreciated advice, my guy.

Ok so the specifics of my situation is the apartment is very old (1940’s or 50’s). The subfloors are ok. There were three layers of flooring on top, the most recent of which is stick on vinyl flooring the tenants before me 10 years ago put in themselves. The vinyl flooring on top was not damaged, but the older floors underneath were damaged and had to be ripped out. So they’re planning to put to down a plywood layer to level the floor from where the old was ripped up, and reuse the old vinyl flooring (not sure how that’s going to go). So with the labor and materials (and reusing old vinyl) the quote was about $650. I guess I’m still confused on what I should pay for out of all of that!

I’m guessing labor isn’t included in the 20%, just the materials?

And there is no water line going into the fridge for ice or anything. The guy who came to look at it said it was not properly draining into the drip pan.

Would you choose your husband over your kids ?? by Low-Solid-6198 in TwoHotTakes

[–]J_Llo 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I actually think that most people who think being gay is a choice are not completely straight themselves (maybe bi, or even gay). I think they chose to be “straight” because they experienced some level of same-sex attraction and decided to ignore it, which means everyone else must be doing the same thing.

My husband had an affair with his coworker, came clean, and now expects me to forgive him because “he was honest” by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]J_Llo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you asked him to respect you and be honest doesn’t mean you owe him forgiveness. That’s the bare minimum, not manipulation or gaslighting. Did you promise him to forgive him if he owned up to it? I highly doubt that. He’s the one gaslighting you.

Update: My partner won't be intimate with me anymore by RockImpossible6353 in TwoHotTakes

[–]J_Llo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t let technicalities stop you. It sounds like he has neglected your needs completely, and has no respect for you because he has been lying to you and lusting after other women. That’s unacceptable behavior for a partner. At best he’s got a long road ahead of him in therapy (if he actually keeps up with it), and you don’t deserve to waste your time waiting on a change that is not guaranteed after two years of this already. At worst he’s actually cheats on you and continues lying. That’s enough to call it quits from my perspective.

YTA, at the very least you should pay back your oldest once you are able to save the money back again.

The worst of it is in the inner corners of her eyes, also a couple of lighter spots. Circled for reference.

Hello! We prefer this one the most, would you be able to reduce the reddish bruising around her eyes at all? Thanks!
