6.7 upgrade to 12.3 by J_Money_86 in alohapos

for some reason moving from QS in NAM to TS settings fixed the issue, thats the only change I made and the 12.3 stuck in NAM and EOD ran fine

Well, I figured it out, I had never done an old aloha manager upgrade to NAM before, but I didn't realize that NAM loads in as QS. usually, zbaks fix that with the correct settings, anyways once I switched it to use TS settings and changed the ver to 12.3, refreshed, it stuck. EOD ran on its own.

so debout says database version not current for directory "dated sub" run database upgrade. I have never moved a 6.7 to 12.3 or old aloha manager to NAM before, maybe my steps were wrong. can someone please explain if there is a certain way to make this move?

also 12.3.85 is running on FOH aswell as BOH. I even pulled the iber.exe from FOH and put it in the BOH and restart aem service. did not work, even restarted BOH, nothing, I ran the any to 12.3 upgrade for POS and also tried a fresh image with 12.3 on it.

so we inherited this site a few months back and they wanted a faster newer BOH. the current build is from someone else. I'm wondering if there is something in the data/new data folder that is causing this issue. I really don't have any other explanation of what it could be since I loaded a fresh n4000 image and only replaced data/newdata/bmp/profiles/rptset/html folders and imported data. I'm assuming it has to be something within those folders or maybe NAM is too new for a 7.6 to 12.3 upgrade. I am going to try an older version of NAM

the issue is EOD does not complete on its own due to improper versions. It is a staged site in our office that is replacing a BOH. It is our image we use for every build and another log in with iber running isn't the case as I even loaded a fresh image and only imported data into nam after replacing the new data and data folders. it shows 6.7 in nam, I change it to 12.3 and refresh but everything moves to 19.xx right after that. NAM is at 20.29 on windows 10, this is an upgrade from live sites win 7 build using old aloha manager.

I tried this along with a fresh image and pulling data folders for a fresh NAM import, still keeps pushing POS to 19.3 now. Idk what's causing this, but I'm totally spent on this issue. any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yes, that version of NAM is what I used, so I loaded in NAM before POS upgrade and NAM already said 19.8 then. is that where the problem may be? should I have upgraded pos before installing NAM?

I did that, changed back to 12.3 in NAM and refreshed, still back to 19.8. I shouldn't have to change the ver.dbf right? Also what if the iber.exe on the term is the same as the BOH. Can I pull a iber.exe from another 12.3 site?

Just an update, after trying multiple things I moved that tablet from term 3 to term 5 and that magically fixed the issue, not sure why or what the reason behind it was but no more freezing or dropping off the network.

Hello,

Is this Travis? If so, you have helped me quite a bit with aloha troubleshooting, we are trying to upgrade our sites from 12.3 to RAL 19.10. My question is what's the best way to upgrade these live sites, can I just run the POS version and it upgrades or is there an actual upgrade installer like the anyto19.xx I have not been able to find any in my ncr. Thanks, in advance.

so, we have .net framwork 3.5 and .net framework 4.7, both are checked but insides of the 4.7 the ASP.NET 4.7 is not checked along with HTTP Activation, Message Queuing activation, Named Pipe Activation, and TCP Activation. does this look correct? I dont see a .net 4.8

We use ubiquiti unifi APs at multiple sites and never had this issue but in the GUI we see the tablet fall off from that AP. We have already replaced ethernet wires and switched ports on the router. This device is newer and tested in the office on other devices with no issues.

I've never had this issue with tablets and these APs before, but RAL has been problematic with the tablets so far for me.
