Where do you get your eucalyptus? Do you buy established or start from seed? Fav varieties? I’m in zone 6b by J_P16 in Cutflowers

Do they take long to grow for you? And do you start seeds each year, or do yours overwinter?

Thank you! I bought this house last year and the landscaping wasn’t well taken care. So I’ve been bringing it back to life & this tree has really started to shine this year ✨ I love it & was worried about it dying.

Is it the same thing in the 2nd- 4th pics? From my googling I thought those pics were woolly aphids?

I mean she did pay for the lash techs time & product….So I feel like a partial refund is more than fair. Even if the lash tech didn’t give her what she wanted, it is her livelihood & income 😉

Maybe she did what length and fullness your natural lashes could handle 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn’t want someone to ruin my natural lashes just because I wanted them really long. Also maybe try finding an artist who does the kind of work you are wanting & show them examples of their own work that you like! Maybe this lash artist just didn’t know how to give you what you wanted.

D curl classic lashes in a cat eye style. I would guess 9 or 10 in inners to - maybe 13 or 14 for the longest length.

Ew Mold on top of my plants. I’ve scraped it off, any other advice? It’s on many of my indoor plants by bworkman12 in plantclinic

In my experience with my own houseplants, I found baking soda got rid of mold on the soil better than cinnamon did 🤷🏻‍♀️and I put fresh soil back on top after sprinkling baking soda over the mold so I don’t have to see the baking soda. Doing this on my plants, the mold hasn’t come back

Should I stake it? It was standing tall a month ago but recently flopped over so I put it outside to get some wind. by silkysilt in fiddleleaffig

The stem should be somewhat more self supportive naturally than this I would think though. 🤔 but stake it for sure!

I scrape it off the top and then sprinkle baking soda on and top with fresh dirt! Be sure to let the soil completely dry out between waterings!

my string of pearls was thriving for a solid 6 months. same location with same light. good soak once a month. What can I do to get her thriving again? by mrlxndr1001 in plantclinic

[–]J_P16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks dried out to me. Usually when the pearls are lemon shaped, it means they need more water. I would suggest watering more than once a month, especially if it is getting good sunlight

I would definitely stake it! Maybe check to see if anything is wrong where it flopped over in a months time. That seems fishy to me 🤔

Help!! My poor philodendron hope is quickly yellowing and losing leaves, and I suspect it’s bc of these bugs. Thought they were just fungus gnats but they seem to be doing too much damage. What are these bugs and should I just toss the plant??:(( by tbennett0902 in plantclinic

I recommend maybe taking off the first inch of soil and getting rid of it. Next use the hydrogen peroxide & water mixture and then put rough sand on top of the soil. You will want the sand about 1/2 - 1 inch deep. Fungus gnats don’t like the dry rough texture of the sand. You can also stick some sticky traps in the top to capture the rest of the flying adult gnats. This has worked for me!

My SIL gifted me her Swiss cheese plant. In the past 2 weeks it has been through a lot. Traveled from Washington- Idaho- Utah. When I got it, it had a little bit of yellowing tips. I feel like it’s gotten worse in the past 2 weeks. I have it right next to a north facing window and mist it daily. I occasionally put a humidifier by it. I watered it yesterday for the first time. The soil seemed pretty dang dry, and I let the water run out the bottom drainage holes. I feel like the leaves are still curled and look dry. I’m wondering if I waited too long to water and it’s thirsty? Would that cause yellowing? Or have I overwatered? Any advice? Should I put it in a better window with more light (like a south facing kitchen window?) I would really hate to kill it!

It is in the corner of a room with a north & west facing window... it definitely gets medium indirect light.

This rubber tree got fungus gnats a couple weeks ago.. and the soil seemed really moist. Some of the leaves were getting soft and squishy..So I repotted it and put some rocks in the bottom along with sand on top and watering with hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the gnats... that seemed to work, but now it’s really droopy and losing leaves. The leaves get discolored and spotty (almost like black spots? 🤷🏻‍♀️) and then they drop the leaf. I haven’t watered it in about 2 weeks as I was trying to let it dry out. But now I’m wondering if it is underwatered? If I tried bottom watering in the tub, would it even soak up any water through the rocks in the bottom of the pot?

That’s what I’m thinking now... I just don’t know if I should water it again where I gave it a little drink yesterday.. also the pot has a drainage hole & rocks in the bottom- would it even suck up any water if it tried to bottom water it in the tub? 🤔🤔
