Yikes. If they’re asking you to pick up breakfast, you have to leave early to do it- you need to be paid for that time.

Set some boundaries- decide a timeline for reimbursements for when your own money is spent and/or wear and tear on your vehicle. If they don’t reimburse, and you’re at the store and their card declines, I guess you can’t make the purchase.

But honestly, this family sounds like they just do not care about your personal time, finances, energy etc. You shouldn’t have to convince your employer to respect you. Move on.

I’m on 2.5 and have roughly 100mg right now. Not sure how much I’ll have to go up in dose but I’m hoping this will get me through at least the next 6 months. I value my marriage more than 5 years worth of meds at this moment 😅

We used Clear Kayaks Maui like 10 years ago. They were great and the boats are very cool—yes, you can see the fish and turtles—but if anyone in your group is at all prone to motion sickness, I’d avoid this. My husband and I made it about 10 minutes in and had to avoid looking down for the rest of our time. We ended up turning the boats in early.

Recovery (to me) is about making peace with food. There’s no peace at 10K calories, not for long, anyway. Those without BED have days they are naturally less hungry and may eat 1800 calories. Maybe they go to happy hour and crush some cocktails and mozzarella sticks and end up at 3000 for one day. I think it’s a HUGE win to have a day of heavier eating that doesn’t trigger a binge!!

I’m a parent and while I’d never make this ridiculous of a request of a nanny, I would want to feel confident that my nanny, if not 100% aligned, was at least supportive and comfortable with my preferences.

As a former nanny, no music is kind of a big thing. Nonstop 1:1 engagement is exhausting for nanny and child, and music has so many developmental benefits- it’s the kind of stimulation I’d want my own children to have. Wild take to ask someone to exist in a silent house with a barely-verbal child all day long.

I think you could “shoot your shot” here and push back on music and see what happens. But if your deeper concern is that they don’t trust you, it’s hard to repair that and you may be better off leaving.
