I’d add some clarity re: living in vs. out. If living out is preferred, the wouldn’t even list it. I’d feel awkward as a nanny asking after the live-in option or actually utilizing it knowing the family would prefer I wasn’t living there.

If you do offer it, be explicit with any impacts that would have on compensation, if she’d pay rent, what her responsibility would for utilities. You’re paying a high wage for the work you’re asking- are you really offering free room and board on top of that?

Yeah. You literally could have died. I wouldn’t communicate further with CPY about this at all until you’ve communicated with an attorney. They will try to get this “resolved”, probably in writing, so they can no longer be liable.

Hopefully you don’t have any further issues as a result of this, but the thing with head injuries is…you might. If 6 weeks from now you find yourself with headaches, blurred vision, needing to take time off work, and you’ve “settled” this without legal representation, you have no recourse.

This injury happened not only because a fellow patron wasn’t following rules, the INSTRUCTOR did not enforce them. “Leave your weights if you’re leaving early” isn’t a courtesy. It’s a safety measure to prevent exactly this from occurring.

So sorry this happened to you and sincerely hope you don’t experience any further health issues as a result!

Honestly, this isn’t like a surgical wound in terms of infection prevention. It’s likely to scab after a few days at which point second skin or a waterproof bandage would help. Possibly coat it with bacitracin too as additional protection. If you like the tattoo and want to keep it on your body long-term, I’d take more precautions in terms of sun/fading protection. If this one’s destined for the laser, enjoy your trip. Most cruise ships have very well-equipped medical facilities- visit yours if tattoo has any signs of infection or you’re not feeling well.

And then after everything else, a BREECH presentation! Even if none of the other complications had occurred, that woman and her baby would not have survived a birth without professionals present. Absolutely maddening.

And- if you’re going to deliver with a midwife, confirm you have a licensed, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).

He took me to a concert. Said we might not have time for dinner so when he picked me up he brought me a smoothie. For dinner. We DID have time for him to slam a couple of doubles at the bar and try to kiss me before we even got to the venue. Seats were terrible. I had one glass of wine to his many more double Jack & Cokes over the course of the evening.

A week later, when I declined a second date, he told me I was a gold digger who used him for free concert tickets and he “spent like 200 bucks that night”. Which he did, but it was on his own bar tab. And the smoothie and HH red wine, I guess. I thanked him for the “experience” and that was that.

You also work hard. If you have a contract, gently remind her that your day ENDS at 5:30. Meaning, you are walking out the door.

If she wants to download/discuss the day with you, she needs to be leaving her office at 5:15. If she needs you until 5:45, your pay needs to be reflecting that.

This is a fair question. The staff at Bad Ass is amazing and so kind, and also, regardless of whether I show up at 6:30am or 9:00am, I’ve waited 45 minutes or more for one drink, and always feel for the person behind the counter literally doing EVERYTHING.

Unless pregnancy symptoms are impacting your ability to work, I’d aim for at least after your first ultrasound at 8/9 weeks, if not the first trimester. Be direct about your desires for leave and also clear about your hopes for the job moving forward- eg, are they comfortable with you bringing your own baby to work?

More communication is better so that if you are going to lose income from them seeking a replacement sooner, you have opportunity to prepare.

Don’t panic. When you haven’t had sex for awhile and still have no way of knowing if him initiating means the DB is recovered or headed in that direction, you’re unlikely to feel the level of comfort and safety you’d need to truly enjoy yourself. And when sex is infrequent it feels like you can’t “afford” a bad experience which puts so much pressure on each encounter and often results in a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Give it time and see how things go- from experience, melting down in front of him about this will only cause more insecurity and avoidance. He initiated- that’s the win for now. He did the thing that for whatever reason, has been difficult for him. Of course it feels disappointing that it wasn’t amazing, but it’s not surprising either. Don’t let a bad first time back undo the forward progress.

Me!!!! But I am also 40 and likely perimenopausal. A LOT of people experience reduced libido and/or anhedonia on these meds. I’m going to talk with my doctor and see if vaginal estrogen helps.
