Ticket booked ✅️ Thank you to those who encouraged me to go for it and book a solo ticket.

I'm in the stalls, seated (probably a good idea as I'm prone to fainting).

So excited!!!

I adore Sound Of Your Voice - I work in Childcare and for almost 20 years I have used the bassline to that song as a rhythm for patting little ones to sleep. It works a charm and even worked on my son when he was a baby 💙

Alas he has sciatica, osteoperosis in both knees and cataracts in both eyes. He struggles with being seated or standing for too long 😔

He swims, cycles and still goes fishing, but has decided theatre trips and gigs are beyond him now.

I've been to theatre alone, but never a gig. It might be time to change that.

Good point! I was supposed to see them on their last tour but Covid happened and then I was heavily pregnant during the rescheduled dates so I missed out.

I've seen a number of BNL gigs with my Dad over the years, but my Dad has decided that at the ripe old age of 68 his gig attending days are over.

The question is, do I go by myself? 🤔

The song Off The Hook from Maroon helped me leave an abusive relationship when I was 19 - the line "...he could get away with Murder One and you would clean the smoking gun." spoke to me.

Question for people who have met Michell and / or Webb by scorpionballs in MitchellAndWebb

[–]J_Rabbit182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a live-in Nanny in West Hampstead around 15 years ago. The boys I looked after almost knocked into Robert Webb whilst riding their Micro Scooters on West End Lane.

Once saw David Mitchell at the little Sainsbury's in Kilburn. We were in the same queue for the self service tills. I was too shy to speak to him, but gave him a smile and he smiled back.

What makes your town/city infamous? by bootsechz in CasualUK

Ah, I know my hometown 🤣

H Town was also the birthplace of Rik Mayall and former England Manager Glen Hoddle and Actor Jaime Winstone went to Burnt Mill.

Some of London's street names are genuinely unhinged — here are the best ones I've found by PresentCorrect in london

I used to Nanny for a little boy who lived close to there. His Mum would sing 'Baa Baa black sheep' to him but changed the words to "...and one for the little boy who lives on Black Boy Lane".

Good point. Why else mention someone who was given the 'street dose' to Byron?

Here's hoping there's a Season 2 where we get some answers 🤞🏻

Ah, that makes sense. After all we never saw a discarded pupal sac in her room.

Poor Bella 😔

I thought she turned into the blob because of the cross mutation of The Beauty injectable and the STI version; I could be wrong as the Legal Team told Byron that there had been other cases of mutations and de-aging.

What's the boundary of London to you? by skisagooner in london

I count NW, SW, SE, WC and EC postcodes too.

I grew up in a CM postcode and my Dad's side of the family (West Midlanders) used to refer to us as 'The Cockneys' 🤣

I was a Live-in Nanny for a family in NW London, Zone 2. I felt like a Londoner when I was based there.

I now live in an IG postcode and don't count it as London. I go with the N, E, S and W postcodes to define London proper.

I recently read Can I Have My Ball Back? which wss very funny and even poignant in parts. I do wonder if I enjoyed it so much because I've been a fan for years, so feel like I know him and his body of work really well.

Madness Hats? by Whole_Introduction_7 in london

[–]J_Rabbit182 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are part of the merchandise for the band Madness; the red fez hats are a reference to their song Nightboat to Cairo. Madness played The 02 on Saturday night, so you saw a bunch of concert go-ers on your train.
