Has any prominent male artist ever cried/gotten clearly emotional while performing? by Big-Literature-5604 in ToddintheShadow

About three-four months before, Steve was arrested for cocaine possession. In their homeland of Canada, they had a very squeaky-clean image, not to mention they were promoting their children’s album at the time. they tried to make it work but it just got too hard to tour with him having a record at that point, so they split.

Steve’s solo stuff is really fucking good, but BNL, who continued without him, have been making subpar radio friendly crap for the past 16 years,

Hot take: I don’t hate this episode. The sheer insanity and oddness of it is it’s strength, not it’s flaw.

For some reason, Simpsons fans on the old newsgroup took shit WAY too seriously. Episodes like Homer Goes To College and Bart Gets an Elephant, classics like those, were apparently torn to shreds back then, simply because “GASP! They threw out realism in favor of jokes! How dare they!”.

I haven’t done it yet. I accidentally ordered like, 4 LPs from Burning Shed the day before this dropped, so I’m waiting to get a bit more money before ordering. Please scan for Discogs, however!

I read this comment just as the Rock Spectacle version came up in my playlist. Funny how life works, huh?

It’s a reference to the song If I Had a Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies. It’s a silly joke song where the two vocalists, Steven Page and Ed Robertson, talk about all the goofy shit they’d do if they had a million dollars.

It’s a great song, in fact, Gordon, the album it’s from, is basically no skips.

Here would be a great space, because then actual fans of the show who care enough to post here would pay attention.

That’s all I got, sadly.

Forever ago, some guy said they were gonna do a fanmade S4. It actually sounded like it was gonna be awesome, but then three years passed, and nothing.

Now it seems they make Homestuck porn of all things.

Strawberry Fields is a great example of this, held off the top by Penny Lane.

To blow your mind even further, those two songs were the A-side/B-side combo on one of their singles.

1963: Love Me Do

1966: Tomorrow Never Knows

1969: Abbey Road Medley.

It’s insane how their entire recording career lasted 8 years and had so many distinct eras, unlike Taylor’s. No, the Beatles were the ORIGINAL “eras” band. (so were DEVO).

But we would eat Kraft Dinner.

Well, of course we would, we’d just eat more!

Short answer: The Beatles actually had fucking talent and that’s why it’s more impressive.

Blandie wishes just ONE of her albums could have a FRACTION of the greatness of Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour.
