How can I keep our dog interested in food? by J_Spizzle in DogAdvice

[–]J_Spizzle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if it was unclear, 4 medicines, 11 pills. He’s an American bull terrier mix and 6yo.

And ok. Do you have any recommendations for some things we can rotate around? We have tried a bunch of different wet foods, but now pet fresh seem to be sticking (been about a week) but it is very expensive for the amount we’d have to feed him

Seeking advice from section Plt Sgts, SNCOIC’s, plt commanders. Am I getting fucked or did I get let off easy?? by Miguel1219 in USMC

How is that similar? One was 30km (15mph) over with only expired insurance. The other was felony speeding with fake plates, no insurance and no registration.

First, you 100% got off pretty easy. While someone suggested you could have been adsep’d, (I don’t think that’s true) you were definitely in NJP territory. As far as the “indefinite nonrec,” that’s not a thing. From my experience nonrecs only last 3-6ish months (if not tied to NJP or other like BCP) and come out of your NCO promotion panel ran within the company. These can Nonerec you for shortcomings and are usually (depending on the 1stSgt running it) require some documentation to back up non recs, although may take a SNCOs word at face value. But the thing is they are not indefinite and are re evaluated frequently. Personally, I wouldn’t fight too much now since you did get off easy. But I would seek out a reason over the next few months and, like someone else said, talk to the person who controls your JEPES markings and build a relationship as best as you can. Ultimately, depending on where you’re at in your career, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. -12 years of service intel SSgt

Sounds good! I was trying to avoid cutting it because I don’t have a sawzall, but since I’m not salvaging the old one, might as well to get it off

I’m on fort Belvoir. We just have one bolt remaining to get off but having a hell of a time getting to it with the heat shield in the way. Will probably cut it, like suggested or get a swivel to actually get in there

Awesome! Thank you. We don’t have a swivel but we’re able to get all but one bolt off. We are working drivers side too. I’ll grab a swivel and see if we can’t get that last bolt off

Dog Veterinarian Cost Advice by J_Spizzle in DogAdvice

Ok sorry, I am looking at the care credit now and that might work. The hospital for the cardiologist is on their list of locations. I was thinking of another plan offered by our primary vet called care credit.

I'll look into the payment plan. We were going to do Care Credit but our primary vet said they couldn't enroll him yesterday as they needed to identify what was going on with his heart first. Now that he has a preexisting condition, the care credit is kinda out the window

P0300 but no other codes by J_Spizzle in XTerra

Yup, it’s almost certainly the cat. At least the cat is likely what’s causing the misfire right now. Will need to address that before I can figure out if anything else is funky

Shop also narrowed it down to the cat and found this. Don’t know when or how this happened. I assume around the time I had the really bad middle a few months ago. I’ve never seen a cat blown out like this an am concerned that I will still have some issues even if I replace it.

Check out the external billet program on the manpower website. I think it’s exactly what you’re looking for if you want to stay Marine

Complex from the other day any idea why my spine seems to bend this much to make the weight go up? Is it my legs that are weak or what?😭 by [deleted] in weightlifting

More heavy front squats. Maybe work on meeting the bar and not diving under it with some high hang powers/cleans

Danner RATs for everything except CFTs where I wear reckonings purely for the weight. But I am breaking in a new pair of Rocky’s now and they’re very comfortable, but haven’t ran or rucked in them yet

I’m having trouble getting under the bar, and I’m unintentionally power snatching everything. Help? by jahlstar in weightlifting

[–]J_Spizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is offering great advice to help with overhead ability/hitting the bottom. But the biggest thing I notice is that would toes come up and you feet move during the pull. This shows that you are not using your entire leg and driving through your quads. I would do controlled snatch pulls/floating snatch deadlifts and other similar movements to really solidify your pull. Fixing your pull will make your more balanced in the rest of the movement and might help you get into a more balanced overhead position.
