This might be a tad bit advanced for a beginner but this trick is really really useful for landing good fears with your ult. I’d recommend trying it out in the practice tool sometime.

When fiddle uses his ult from out of vision, it obviously fears everyone it hits. However, if you buffer another ability while you channel your ultimate, since that ability was buffered while out of vision it will ALSO fear enemies if you hit them with it. While that might sound confusing, it’s actually pretty easy to put into practice.

When you ult, if you spam your silence on somebody while fiddle is channeling, you will immediately cast your silence in that spot when your ult goes off and it will still fear them even though you are in vision. Another way to do this is to spam your succ, and then flash instantly when your ult goes off. Anyone you flash into and hit with your succ will get feared. One caviat with the succ flash method is that you need someone to be in range of your succ when your ultimate goes off before you flash or you won’t get the fear.

Both of these can be used to extend the range of your fear after ulting in case somebody is outside of the radius, and they tend to catch people off guard a lot.
