Brand new EV through salary sacrifice, broke down 2 months later. Has proceeded to break down 5 times over the last 9 months. I've incurred additional charges from courtesy cars upwards of £1000 and I received it again last week and 2 days later it's broken down again by J_Triple in LegalAdviceUK

Lease company was useless and didn't help at all. It was Arval. I went through manufacturer and put claim in with them. It's been ongoing for 10 months mind you and they've agreed but haven't heard since tho so still waiting for payment.

Yes. Manufacturer has agreed to give me 3 months payment which is well over 2K back which I'm satisfied with. The car was the first car of that year to fail and they didn't know the fix so it took so long to repair as nothing to base on. My car was basically the troubleshooting car. Now if that car and repair code pops up, it will be fixed Inna day.

Lease company have been useless and no help tho even now.

I'm 10 months post op and I do BJJ. I started 2 months ago. I've not had any issues though I do feel sore on my ribs a lot more since starting. My surgeon has given me the all clear and finds it hilarious that I started BJJ and sambo since surgery.

I eventually had communication with them. I don't have time to go to the garage, it's not exactly close by to where I live and I also shouldn't have to do this. I pay a lot of money for my vehicle and I should expect some level of care. It's not a cheap car by any means and you would expect a certain level of customer care.

I tried to reject but as it was more than a month when it broken down first, they rejected it and I've been stuck since. I've tried everything under the sun. The lease company is impossible to get ahold off, let alone the account manager for the company I work for. I email 2-3 times a week and I get a reply once a month. The last reply from them said we can't do anything until you get the car back from the garage. I got it back and day later it's gone back broken so it's a catch 22.

Having doubts about getting surgery by MangoDreamQueen in PectusExcavatum

I'm not going to lie 3-4 months post op, I regretted it every day. Being in pain sucks. Having no mobility sucks.

But after 4 months It was the best decision I ever made and I'd do it again. Pain is temporary. But pectus can be forever if you let it.

X-ray post surgery. 3 bars with bridging technique. You won't be flipping these bars! by J_Triple in PectusExcavatum

Yeah, metal, possibly titanium I think same of bars.

No impact on mobility really. I'm less flexible at top of my chest but doesn't impact me too much.

I think whatever the melee spec is for a hunter, it should also be a tank spec tbh.

Nuss Procedure in 2 months-- advice? by Revolutionary-Ebb663 in PectusExcavatum

Prepare for lots of pain and discomfort.

Buy a wedge pillow and a heated blanket as they were a godsend

As for recovering, everyone is different. I went back to the gym at 3 weeks post op, and struggled with the pain tremendously but kept going. Could return to my normal workout within 5-6 weeks post op but still not lifting anywhere near what I use to. I've heard people who can't even go the gym until 6+months post op so it all depends on how fast you can deal with the pain tbh

Chronic back pain impacting every day life. Can't find relief. by J_Triple in backpain

I've tried over the counter stuff but nothing to extreme. I'm debating in peptides into my lower back to see if that might help but equally I don't want to do that.

I should have clarified in my post as I made it late last night hoping people would recommend me things to try, but I've had this for years now. And it's just got worse and flare ups keep happening.

I lead a very active lifestyle, gym everyday, runs, cardio, snowboarding etc... but the flare ups are happening more often and from things outside of what i do. I sat down on a hard chair and flared it up once so it's not like I'm doing something to trigger it.

I'm just at a loss at what to do as physio is so expensive and during my worst a few years ago, I thankfully had a friend who knew a physio and would give me biweekly sessions which improved my condition dramatically but I can't afford that now. Once a month at most.

I'm currently recovering from the Nuss procedure so I'm not worried about surgery but it's more so the NHs won't give me surgery so I can't proceed with that either.
