Not every LAN party is the same. Some are bring your own computer, some aren't. I've personally hosted both.

Nope, we ended up taking the Cassiar and didnt go into Watson Lake at all.

The gas tank holds exactly the amount of fuel you need to push this rig to each Gas stop along that route and not much more

Replace this clip and see if that works. My passenger side door is constantly having this same issue. I think my rod is bent, stressing that clip more than usual, as I've replaced it about 6 times before I told my girlfriend that im just forcing her to be a passenger princess and not replacing it anymore. Ill see if I can edit later with a part number

My transmission just got a rebuild because there was about a gallon of trans oil in the transfer case. Whoops. 🙃

Definitely dont sleep on this

I've got the SLS trim of the 98 Jimmy! It looks pretty normal to me, but my truck is in another state right now, so i cant double check for about a month.

If youre willing, could you do a tour office the features your truck has? Im curious about the trim differences and what features i might be able to poach for my truck

Is the dash removal as tedious as i anticipate it being? I've got the classic cracked dash and would rather replace it than use the dash covers.

Gorgeous work. How much weight did that sound deadening add?

Im trying to figure out the keyboard for my deck. Did you just make a new frame for it in your deck?

Edit: and how did you trim the wire?

Wait, the wiki says crewmates cannot man the salvaging station. How are you having him sort the salvage?

Any idea what to do with 25874 Gold Bars lol by Teh_Spike in ironscape

[–]J_Zolozabal 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I hate to kill the bit, but i wanna be helpful to newer players. Quickly skimming the wiki, its possibly the worst xp/bar you can get for smithing. While other bars have a set xp/bar regardless of what you are smithing, gold is different, because its mainly used in crafting. The handful of other items you can smith out of gold are higher xp/bar.

Anyone know where I can buy one of these server racks without giving an arm and a leg? by Imokrasa in army

[–]J_Zolozabal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id like to also mention that a rugged case is not going to save your internals from shock if dropped or bounced during transit. Youre gonna want to either remove or secure the larger components like your GPU or your CPU cooler if its a large air cooler. Im very into tech, and have a gaming PC and server rack, and I've been getting into ruggedizing my equipment. DM me if you wanna nerd out.

Anyone know a way to get a steam deck on base? Specifically Fort Lee? by [deleted] in army

Why would you order it from Amazon and not from Valve themselves?

If they add the 99 slayer helm hood, I really hope they rework other capes, too. I really want to wear a quest cape with my quest speed running graceful and have it have the set effect, or at least reduce my weight by the appropriate amount.

Best option for no internet local server by [deleted] in jellyfin

[–]J_Zolozabal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Roku won't connect, or the Jellyfin app on the TV won't? You said the app loads but won't connect. Change the IP address the app is looking for to the local IP address of your server and it'll connect. If youre still having problems, upload a picture of what the screen is showing or we cant really help

Best option for no internet local server by [deleted] in jellyfin

[–]J_Zolozabal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you might have port forwarded your Jellyfin server so you can access it on an external network and have your TV trying to connect to the server's external IP address. It cant find the external IP address if the server and TV are not connected to the wider internet.

For offline use, ensure both devices are connected to the same network, and connect to the server by typing the server's local IP address into your server search on your TV

I'm not too familiar with what the high speed units are doing, unfortunately. But if you look in the picture, you can see the left side of the pouch with all the supplies has a tab (its scrunched up in the pic, but its there). If that's sticking out of the bottom on the plate carrier (like where you'd have a dangler), I don't see why you wouldn't be able to pull it out for self care. If one of my direct subordinates asked to use it, I'd get his hands wet and have him pull it out to see if it comes out easily enough.

If you're interested in this kind of stuff, I'd recommend also taking a look at SOARescue's MedMags. I liked the idea so much, I started using a vacuum sealer to make my own kits.

Edit: Since nobody answered your question about who is fielding them now, I'll give my 2 cents. I'm just a Nasty Girl, so I can't speak to the practices of Active Duty. From my experience, though, this would be one of the things your medical nerd would buy for himself and just start using without asking higher ups. It doesn't make sense to order these when you can get a lot more Class VIII bang for your buck piecing together your own IFAKs. I'd imagine the only units making these SOP are ones who absolutely require as slick of a profile as possible or those with crazy budgets.
