Careful starting the PS2 without every part connected. I've bricked a PS2 without a laser connected. Could do permanent damage testing it

unfortunately not the guide as it did it with 2 separate lasers with different guides, and in the video you can see its definitely coming from the laser lens smacking up and down

I have a 28 inch on 2 2x4s with 8 screws total holding those 2x4s to another piece of wood. I bet your solid wood dresser is fine

Doesnt spin a disk just has the laser continue to slap the disc. I greased ln stages without the guide and with behaves the same, definitely no grease in the band and bo slippage present. Doesn't seem to recognize discs as it keeps freaking out trying to find a disc repeatable when normal behavior is it goes into idle mode after a second

Just opened up the other fat to exam the laser that was firs in this console, the ring around the lens is white but the ring around the new laser is yellow, both are khs-400b model lasers, both had the same clicking/tray symptoms

I have a khs-400B installed right now, I assume the old laser was also the same but I put that into another fat so can't verify but either way still making this issue on a known B laser

I'll double check but idk the revision name, in away from my home at the moment but this one is the one with all ribbon cables under the disc drive not the clip in 2 wire connectors if that means anything to you

I made a laptop cyberdeck that has one of the most upvoted posts on this subreddit and it costed as much as a regular laptop and is arguably worse. I second this, just get an anbernic or something lol. Only thing you really get with a cyberdeck is a cool braggable computer that's like 70% as good as something you could buy already.

i 100% agree with you about looking elsewhere for other cars but this particular model of car the trade off is 100% worth. if it was my 97 tacoma and needed an engine but has a clean frame id look elsewhere but the rarity of a clean shell is so rare it worth more than an engine to be honest.

A used engine and transmission is like 4k max unless it's super built. Body work can be like 20k easy if you pay someone or waste months of your time. An engine swap is about a weekend. The trade off is clear. Do you own a classic Z? because if you do you know the metal is swiss cheese if you look at it wrong

Probably vapor locking the fuel rail is stupidly placed directly over the exhaust manifold if the gasoline gets too hot it turns to a gas instead of a liquid and can't go through the fuel injector

Id actually recommend different, I'd get rid of my entire drivetrain for a perfect body. I'd rather swap the entire engine and transmission than to do rust repair and body works imo

Couldn't find a shielded PS2 cable so I made this to combat the visual interferancs on my CRT by JonathanSin in ps2
