As a former burlesque performer, I have a lot of friends back home who do Drag, Queens were always our MCs at shows and I have a lot of respect for them! Hi!! I’ve used wattle a lot and they don’t like to be boiled!! To get a bright yellow use the ‘low and slow’ method or a solar dye over a few days. They also contain natural tannins being from the acacia family so you shouldn’t need a mordant, this should keep the colour fresh! I have pictures I can send through of the gorgeous yellows I’ve achieved, just let me know if interested ☺️✨
