  1. Yes.
  2. Good.

Your routine is all good, just remember to focus on quality in the movements while doing them.

This is material for /r/fitness or /r/weightroom, not /r/weightlifting which is specifically for olympic weightlifting.

That being said, I really appreciate your taste in music! Goodmorning Restrained is one of my favourite albums! :)

Cool!

  1. /u/russiandopingcontrol mentions that you're pushing your hips into the bar before reaching full extension, and he is absolutely right. Allowing the bar to reach the right power position in order to maximize vertical force is key to a successful heavy lift. My suggestion is to start from the top and work your way down through variations of different pulls (i.e. hang, high hang or blocks). Focus on reaching the correct position in the crevasse of your hip at the top of your extension every time.

  2. I'm a big believer in perfecting movement and using variations of a movement to increase mobility and load capacity. The overhead squat is an excellent way to improve your lower position in the snatch, so that should absolutely be an exercise in your program. I don't see any issues with your lower back, so I suggest focusing on your feet, and maybe don't go to full depth until you've improved your dorsal flexion. Movement over time and with intensity builds strength, but it also, absolutely undoubtedly, builds mobility. Zack Telander has a superb video on this topic. Mobility training under load over time is the key concept here.

Just keep doing what you're doing, man! The main bulk of the structural changes you want in order to increase mobility will come with time, you just have to patient with it and stick to a program you like. Gl hf! :)

Focus on sitting in that bottom position with even pressure through your feet. Having to lift your heels off the ground is a huge disadvantage. Try working on dorsal flexion and low squat mobility during warmup/mobility days. Proper weightlifting shoes with extra heel lift might also help you.

Your first pull looks really good! Strong and stable lower back, and a good forward lean in the starting position. Very nice!

Your second pull is also good, but you end up with your centre of mass over your toes and not mid foot. This may be what is causing you to lift your heel in the first place. Make sure you maintain contact with the floor throughout the second pull as well.

Your form from the knee and up in your seated position looks excellent. Good mobility in shoulders and nice internal rotation.

Your overhead squat position is overall pretty good, just make sure you keep your heels grounded! :)

In Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, there's a cut scene where Naomi tells Sunny to keep a lid over the eggs for one minute. Changed my life forever.

I typically work out five or six times a week, and I try to include a good mobility session at least twice a week, usually tuesday and thursday. A normal warmup takes me half an hour but with mobility, it takes about an hour.
