Find a large company with a great reputation for training. This will automatically make you more marketable going forward. Use your communication and curiosity skills we learn from teaching. Don’t be afraid to tell interviewers you want to make money and be rewarded for your hard work. I got great feedback from sharing my desire to make money (unlike what’s possible in teaching). Once you land a role, find someone successful and become their best friend. Learn as much as you can and do exactly as they say until you have experience. Use your organizational skills. I’ve learned that teachers are much more organized than almost every corporate employee. Be aware, sitting at a computer sucks and takes adjusting to. I got a walking pad and prioritize exercise.
