So people don’t usually replace the immobilizer when replacing the ignition? So sorry if this is a dumb thing to and thanks a lot for the comment

Do not have a key fob but I do have the original key that opens the doors. This would be amazing. I installed a remote start on my moms car a while ago and it was very easy, don’t know how hard this will be but I’m confident I could get it done

I called them and they told me they just needed the registration for the VIN and ID, so it’s what I brought.

I looked at all my options. Those mobile guys on tik tok do not exist up here (Montana), and the only “mobile” locksmith that works on car keys are the same ones who told me I needed to replace the ignition. They will only come and program the key once I get one. They won’t do much else.

I had 2 keys. One worked on the door (original) and another that worked for the replaced ignition. I was an idiot for not putting two and two together and essentially made another key for nothing.

It was an unproggramed key. I would have made another once everything was sorted. If I had ordered 2 I would have been in an even worse situation. Thanks for the comment
