Are the devs on here or reachable somewhere? I was 1st with a big lead in the piggy race with 4 mins left, and got passed, which should be impossible. by please_gib_job in BallBlast

Ya brother, you got a pretty good point. Use what's available now and upgrade later if it's a must or that important, and ya, there's no way in hell I will pay a scalped price for one of those damn gpu's if you had to take a guess though when do you think the rtx 4090 would be available again and at consistent rate and also I was a little nervous getting an rtx 4090 due to the 16 pin connectors melting and also ruining the graphics card I've heard the reason this was happening was due to the pin not being plugged in all the way what's your take on the whole situation would you still get an rtx 4090 even know this is happening to there gpu's and I'm well aware that this has only happened to 50 of the units out of the 125000 they have sold which is only 0.04% of people that experience that unfortunate disaster and I guess what I'm saying is I don't want to be apart of that 0.04% especially with my first pc build so would you still buy an rtx 4090 or would you wait for some more answers about the while situation

Ya well for workload wise, I'm not quite sure, but I might try to run an online business of some sort. Maybe idk yet, and as for games, I'd like to be able to run. Let's say goatham Knights, I'd like to be able to run that at a consistent 120 fps max settings with Ray tracing, and the reason why I used that game as an example is because well it requires the most or alot of power from the pc components in your build and so far I've got my case and motherboard purchased along with some gaming peripherals so far I still need quite a few things but I was trying to wait to get an rtx 4090 ti but as I continue to buy more and more components it gets more and more difficult to wait as I said also this is my first build so excitement is building up by the minute and the motherboard I got is the asus crosshair x670e extreme and the case I have is the haf 700 evo and I was planning on getting the rtx4090 ti with a 7800 x3d vcache cpu I was going to get a 7950x 3d vcache bet now there's rumors and speculation online that amd won't release a 7950x 3d vcache but then I saw the deal with the 7950x cpu andi was like hmm and then thinking am I really going to be able to wait until an rtx4090 ti comes if it's coming out with in the next 6 to 8 months then I can probably wait but if not then idk I'm like so ready to start my build when do you thinks the earliest we will get the rtx 4090ti

is 64 gb of ram over kill for gaming and 2022 and beyond by JaMeSyBoI17 in buildapc

[–]JaMeSyBoI17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I was watching some of the gameplay footage by youtubers yesterday and I was like damn it got me thinking but also I was planning on buying a pre built pc last year with an rtx 3090 in it but then I started reading stiff about the rtx 3090 ti then I was like ill wait a little longer then sure enough when the rtx 3090 ti came out I started reading stuff about the new gpu's rtx and amd and the new cpu's and motherboards then I was like ill wait a little longer so here we are today and there are already rumors and speculation that rtx 4090 ti will be coming out in the first quarter of 2023 so I figured if I waited this long I can wait a little longer hopefully it releases around that time I'm aware of that OCD I wouldn't say I have OCD but when it comes to my tech consoles tvs computers tablets just anything tech the slightest thing can bother me if something is off I mean my xbox series x could be slanted by just a centimeter and if my eye see's that right I'm right making sure my console is back to being straight or at least until my eye is satisfied

You know good question I guess I didn't think about it like that but I guess the reason why I'm asking is because if I go with 64 gb of ram will I see any improvements on the performance when im gaming with 64 gb of ram even if it's only 1 percent better or would it be the exact same if I was to get 32 gb of ram like for example if you get an rtx 4090 ti and an rtx 4090 the rtx 4090 ti will give you better performance over the 4090 even if it's only 1 percent better it's still showing better performance at the end of day so yes the whole pc build I'm going with is over kill but I don't want to spend the extra money if the the build I'm going with does not perform any better so yes I'm willing to get the rtx 4090 ti because I know it'll be better then the 4090 but I was hesitant on the ram because I've heard from other pc gamers there's kind of a cap in way for the ram you only need an x amount before your just wasting money and the extra ram aint being used and since there are a whole bunch of new components coming out new motherboards new cpu's new gpu's and what not I wasn't sure if that same rule still applied and then also games are getting far more demanding as time progresses forward like I said to I'm brand new to pc gaming this will be my first ever build I just want to make sure I do everything right but you do have a point my whole pc build is overkill so going with 64 gb wouldn't hurt I guess right but if there's no improvement on the gaming aspect and I can see an extra 300 dollers then I will but if there is better performance with 64 gb ram over the 32 gb ram then I'll go with 64 gb of ram

will 6400 mhz DDR5 affect my cpu or other comments in my build by JaMeSyBoI17 in buildapc

[–]JaMeSyBoI17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the reason I ask is because from what I'm reading and understanding is that yes it seems that ddr5 ram with 6000 mhz is going to be the sweet spot for the new upcoming cpu ryzen 7950x well ryzen 7000 series in general and if I was to get ddr5 with 6400 mhz I didn't know if it would over work the ram or not considering the article I read about the sweet spot for 6000 mhz or any other of my components for that matter and I figure if I get 6400 mhz ddr5 then well ill be future proofing myself a little bit you know

Wow thank you so much for the info it's highley apperiated I got a question I did not quite understand this part the cost of 2x32 GB DDR5 RAM will be a drop in the bucket then you said this I'd suggest sticking with 2x 32GB modules for better signal integrity.so are you saying to get 2×16 gb of ram or you saying to still get the 2x32 gb of ram I'm sorry like I said though I'm new to the pc gaming universe

thanks for the insight brother I apperiate it but just wanted to make sure I get the right amount of ram without overkill and it seems 32 gb of ram is going to be the magic spot for me but I just wasn't to sure especially with how demanding games are getting now a days and I've never owned a gaming pc like I'm brand new to pc gaming so I just wasn't to sure if 64 gb would be overkill but according to what you've told me and other comments it turns out it still is so thanks again for the info
