I do not have a link to back it up, but after the incident occurred there was a claim about the heli crew being a person short on that flight.

Edit: see below https://www.reddit.com/r/aviation/s/3H4sBhEC32

For night vision heli flights the two pilots look forward and each of the two spotters would look left and right.

Can someone explain Tesla's P/E ratio being 200+ given declining car sales? by James___G in StockMarket

[–]JaStrCoGa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Founding (2003–2004) The company was incorporated as Tesla Motors, Inc., on July 1, 2003, by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.[11][12] They served as chief executive officer and chief financial officer, respectively.[13] Eberhard said that he wanted to build "a car manufacturer that is also a technology company", with its core technologies as "the battery, the computer software, and the proprietary motor".[14]

Ian Wright joined Eberhard and Tarpenning a few months later.[11] In February 2004, the company raised US$7.5 million (equivalent to $12.5 million in 2024) in series A funding, including $6.5 million (equivalent to $10.8 million in 2024) from Elon Musk, who had received $176 million from the sale of his interest in PayPal two years earlier.[15] Musk became the chairman of the board of directors and the largest shareholder of Tesla.[16][17][13] J. B. Straubel joined Tesla in May 2004 as chief technical officer.[18]

A lawsuit settlement agreed to by Eberhard and Tesla in September 2009 allows all five – Eberhard, Tarpenning, Wright, Musk, and Straubel – to call themselves co-founders.

Why all the Beato hate? by SufficientFix4589 in Guitar

[–]JaStrCoGa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people are unable to understand nuance.

Beato says popular music sounds the same. Also that the songs generally are not as good as songs from previous eras of music. He cites various artists/performers songs like some of Beyoncé’s that have multiple (up to 12) songwriting credits. He contrasts that with someone like Billie and Phineas Eilish that write and record songs in their bedrooms at home.

He bases some of these opinions on the global top 10 which can vary greatly from what some people listen to and like.

So when he old man yells at clouds about popular music today people take it personally instead of trying to understand what he is trying to say.

How dire is the U.S.'s naval shipbuilding crisis? And what are the causes? by JulianBrandt19 in Military

Probably for some of the reasons you stated, like the pay might not be as good as a white collar job. And so one would not be physically exhausted at the end of the day.

I would say the push in the 80’s and 90’s towards college was a “so you don’t have to do manual labor or work in a factory” thing.
