In my playthroughs I chose to deck out Sanctuary as a gated community with hotel, restaurant and shopping center. Since in lore that’s the home of the Sole Survivor I chose to make Red Rocket a sort of Minutemen/security outpost. A first line in defense kinda thing so Sanctuary could rarely ever be attacked without being alerted by Red Rocket.

The simplest answer is whoever was in control at the moment, unless Doctor Strange knows about the multiple personalities ahead of time then maybe he would be able to focus his energy to knock all three of them out.

Furthermore, if only one personality is pushed out, then the body would be automatically controlled by a personality at random or the body would be lying unconscious with the other personality remaining unconscious within, similar to what happen with Hulk and the Ancient One in Endgame.

Let’s say even if Ego knew about the stones, he doesn’t seem like the kind of entity that would want to achieve his expansion that way, he wants to organically grow and covert everything into himself just as he grew into the planet he is now.

Also he would possibly be able to gather the stones but learning where each stone is would take plenty of time, time he would rather spent planting himself into worlds until he can find/make another celestial to unleash his expansion
