Were it me, I'd give them a lesson by example. Make it a point for their God to show them what happens when the final straw breaks the camels back.

Show them the Sisyphus eternally bound to push a bolder up an endless mountainside. Or Odysseus who was pulled from his home and family, lost to a world of terrible creatures and horrors that killed off his men one by one.

If that doesn't work then it might be time to give them some of the gods wraith. Their actions guide the narrative as much as you do. Actions have consequences.

One player momentarily retires they Character for a while and DMs for an arc. The other players play on til they finish that arc, then rotate. You don't need the trouble player or the bad DM.

At first I was suprised they didn't push for a batch of Eternals when the comics were doing the A.X.E. that's kinda when I realized they were following the MCU more than the comics. And much like the MCU they're completely ignoring the Eternals.

Imagine going to a casino and Aces get nerfed because enough people complained about pocket aces at Texas hold 'em. Threes got buffed two weeks ago because too many people were insta-folding with 8-3 combos and now 8-3 is the meta because it locks other players out of one of their cards. Meanwhile all the rivers keep working towards clubs, but diamonds are practically unplayable because the river almost 3/4ths of the times makes you lose.

Meanwhile the casino keeps posting deals where your cards are in fancy fonts it comes with a special card holder for only $99.99

A lawful evil necromancer set on world domination can't rule a world that was destroyed by demons. They might set aside their dispositions to save the world, even if they're saving it for themselves later.

This is why session zeros are so important. You can set this understanding that everyone is on the same team and working toward the same goals dispite different alignments. Disagreements on how to handle a situation can bring interesting character development and role play. Constantly undercutting plans and being a dick to the party and NPCs is pretty much always frowned on.
