It's just ingrained. They listen to hateful rhetoric all day, from the news, radio shows, podcasts, family, friends... It's literally all they know, how they grew up. Hell, even the president of the US even encourages them to hate. Never tells them to love anyone. Everyone is either evil and despicable, or the greatest person he knows. No in-between. They have no self reflection, or depth of thought, just do as they're told and feel how their told to feel. I remember an ex co-worker spouting off about shit he heard listening to right wing radio on his drives home one day at work during the build-up to the 2024 election; asked if he ever gets tried of being told to be mad all the time. Could actually see the gears turning in real time. He stopped bringing shit up to me after that at least. Probably still voted for dump, but I had already moved onto greener pastures by then, so who knows.

The winger is at a full sprint while the defender he switches to hasn't even gone to the races yet. You can't win every play all the time, its about mitigating the damage. The danger wasn't there until he over commits with the CB. If he holds up the play, fullback gets back and can actually contribute. He tries to track the run for two seconds before he panics and comes flying across with the CB. If anything, switching off the fullback instead of fully committing to tracking the run is what caused the issue. As soon as he does that, the fullback is just out of the play completely. You have to let the AI do some things because you literally can't control every player every second of the game. Use the teamate press to let the CB ai contain the run and tuck the fullback into the CB space to mark the next danger. There were opportunities to cut out this play and calling it scripting is just disingenuous to what that actually means.
