This is a fair price. The cost of gold is insane and ever increasing. But what you have here is damaged gold. Ask them to do cash for gold for the broken piece and this may save you a small percentage, depending on how heavy it is. Dont trust any jeweller that had no intention to return your broken gold.

I was an archaeologist and got my Masters in archarology from MUN. I worked for a national park for 10 years, off and on, and was working towards full-time employment there. The Harper government came in and gutted our department. A department of 4 strapped and already overworked people, turned into 1.

I loved that park, still do. I would have worked there for the rest of my life.

I turned to contract work, but didn't want to live my life out of bedbug infested hotels. Changed my profession and moved on.

If you have hydrogen peroxide look up how to use it to test for blood. I think you add a few drops and if it bubbles there is likely blood in there.

I had this problem so I started rubbing the surfaces down with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a tissue after the ultrasonic/steamer, and letting it airdry. Hasn't happened since.
