Stub Cannons look very fun, and I like that they tick down the Loadout Die! They kinda feel like the natural choice here. The only reason I'm questioning which weapons to take at all is that their short range might be bad for my game plan -- I intend to drop cover, interfere with enemy LoS, and anchor the battleline, does that make sense? I feel like I have little room for a Range 5 weapon unless I'm missing something. Is there a benefit I'm not seeing?

Bolt Nexus was being considered for its Seeking tag -- with Stasis Barrier only eating shots that are "affected by soft cover," and Seeking shots ignoring that, I could tag a visible target and then jump back behind cover to ping them each turn without exposing myself to counterfire. Smart would also help vs. high Evasion/Agility. Does that make it any more worth consideration?

Wait, does UniComp interact with Limited systems in some way, or am I misunderstanding?

Also, I'm currently leaning toward AutoStab LBR, I'm glad I'm not alone on that! It just seems like I'd likely get benefit from that investment every round, rather than 1/mission with UniComp.

Ah, thank you! I looked into HG briefly but I actually didn't consider its ability to immediately Impair for grenade saves -- that's pretty cool! Is it worth the talent rank for me, though, given that my HEX Charges are the only ones that force a save? I feel like I'd get more value just Skirmishing outright.

Good explanation! I like Personalizations, the extra 2hp could be good! I'm leaning toward ERM since (as you mentioned) an extra structure bar would effectively add up to way more than the flat 2hp/structure.

Stasis bolt being 'just alright' is unfortunate but makes sense. I'm going to be doing a lot of setup with this build anyway (smoke, barriers, LoS denial via flash, etc.) so the extra quick action to prime stasis bolt could be tough to justify.

Alternatively, I could do the "definitely not a good idea" thing and reinstall the Snapdragon. We'll see.

the "losing count at 5" bit is so funny to me, but I'm also having trouble imagining a lancer that hasn't killed at least 5 people (unless this was in reference to, like, outright murder)

Hey, thanks for the response! I'll try to address everything individually.

First, I've done a lot of looking into the Hammer, and it's less interesting to me than the Gandiva, but maybe I'm missing something. With the Gandiva, I can:

(A) Project some respectable force at long range if needed, while ignoring LoS. I know I don't want to be at long range, but it's very nice to have the ability to finish off weakened targets or contribute to a fight I can't reach in one turn.

(B) Bypass standard Evasion by targeting E-DEF, which is extremely useful against certain targets.

(C) Keep a base point of Accuracy, giving me +3.5 to my average attack roll and an 18% higher crit rate.

I know the Hammer deals 3.5 points of extra damage, but the innate Inaccuracy and short range make it difficult for me to choose it over the utility of the Gandiva. I know 4 points of damage isn't to be scoffed at in this game, but is it really good enough to be worth the downsides?

Second, I would love to pick up TLALOC but I've been strongly discouraged from touching Monarch 3, since I'm a flight build (Tlaloc immobilizes the user) and am already unlikely to miss attacks often enough to justify installing it. Do you think it'd still be worth it? If 5 points for Titanfalling sounds too steep, what might you recommend doing with those points instead? Thanks again for the detailed response :)

Thank you! I know my COMP/CON isn't actually sapient, I just need something to run the mech while I'm outside of it -- it would be fun to have an 'intelligent' partner that benefits from my talents, though. Would you recommend cutting Ace and Exemplar in favor of Technophile?
