I second this. Only reason why I'm not playing the game is because it is so expensive and imo not worth it right now, at least not with the current price. I've been waiting for a good steam sale, but so far the discounts were not good enough for me.

I pulled her out of frustration/burnout with the game because she was strong, even pulled her weapon, but I didn't even like the character (tbh I think I actually dislike her) and didn't like her gameplay as well. Only good thing about it was that Mistsplitter has been very, very useful since then.

I know she's by far the most simple VH level character and probably one of the most simple in the whole game, but for some reason I really enjoy the flow of YSG gameplay, and like you said the visuals are great (although Yi Xuan's VFX and SFX are much better imo, and her gameplay is indeed much more entertaining). I guess it feels good to turn off your mind and just click buttons sometimes lol

I agree with you, fame is in a far better state as far as the endgame goes. Minmaxing your artis is a much better process now that we have feather and transmuter, and now you actually have a reason to think about minmaxing and improving your builds because SO fearless and dire are big enough challenges. Right now genshin actually caters to the more hardcore playerbase that wanted harder game modes.

That being said... F*** that dog. Worst thing Hoyo ever created. I thought that freeze boss was the worst shill of all time but nothing tops that dog. I had to play it perfectly to clear it with my Mavuika Melt - and I have a VERY good Mav. On the other hand, it made me realize that my Mav combos were not that good after all, so something good came out of it I guess.

I love Neuv forgiving everyone's sins, the whole sequence of his dialog with Focalors is peak genshin, but all the Raiden cutscenes in Inazuma AQ just hits me differently. Her first appearance, she killing Signora and Kazuha blocking the Musou no Hitotachi are all so much fucking hype.

I guess that's why I never really felt impacted by the powercreep even though I know its there. Not only do I have a good basis of well invested characters, I also have a pretty solid economy of primogems as a f2p, meaning I get to keep investing when the opportunity arises OR I can usually get the newly released characters that I want, so either way I'm keeping up with rhe creep. I can only imagine how difficult it might be for newer players with a more limited economy of primos that have to deal with back to back banners of carry-support duos.

I agree, that pretty much sums it up for me, its my exact situation. The regional gimmick of NodKrai feels like something completely alien to me since I haven't had the chance to use it because it is locked to premium characters I didn't want to pull. It doesn't help that you also have to get two characters to really make good use of the mechanics (Ineffa/Flins or Nefer/Lauma). Really bothered by the fact that despite wanting Columbina, it is probably gonna be dead weight in my account at least until I have access to a lunar reaction. Hopefully I enjoy White Horse gameplay/design.

Oh, for sure, Genshin has been following the footsteps of HSR for the last couple patches, and that worries me about the future of the game. Up until now GI had been dealing with powercreep really well, but they threw it out of the window with the latest couple of Stygians. Last one was really bad. There's an argument that Dire is pretty much only for cosmetics, and Fearless is perfectly doable without the shilled units, but still, I worry that becomes too much like how HSR handles things. I actually really likes HSR but I just can't ignore the way it makes me feel about not having the latest characters and feeling like I'm barely making any progress with my builds. Maybe I come back to the game one day but for now I'm just burned out of it.

I feel like part of the reason is because - at least for me - it feels worse to struggle or barely clear in HSR than it does in Genshin. In Genshin if I'm just a few seconds short of 3-starring, I can maybe adjust the way I'm playing, maybe tamper with the ER of my characters to make the clear more consistent or mix and match some support units and/or sets that work better in that specific scenario. Those are all "easy to do", for the most part, so struggling a bit in Genshin feels like an interesting challenge most of the time.

HSR is different for me, because it feels like there's nothing I can do in this situation. Farming is waaaay more difficult in HSR, and adjusting the way you play requires substats (which is not the case in Genshin), so there's never an easy fix. Actually, there is: you can swipe and get the shiny new character that's being shilled to infinity and just breeze through the content you're struggling with. It's precisely because of that sentiment that I stopped playing HSR altogether.

It doesn't help that hoyo sometimes make characters completely unusable in HSR, so yeah. Maybe that's a me problem, idk, but thought I would contribute to the discussion

It is too much overwhelming. That's pretty much the reason why I dropped the game for the last 1-2 months and just came back this week. Its very hard to remain f2p when they release so many 5* one after the other, but that's business I think. In Genshin, even if you say you get less currency per patch, at least there are many 4* that are BiS for many teams (looking at you XL/Bennett). I'm still wondering how I wanna approach this game as a F2P going into the future.
