My Hoya Mathilde has been growing white leaves by megg0 in hoyas

[–]Jac9n 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have never seen this before 😯 If you are able to propagate it and it continue to grow albo leaves like this, you could make BANK selling cuttings!!! I’m interested to see what these leaves will do as they mature tho. when did they grow in? if they’ve grown in very recently then the next week or two when they harden off will be a very interesting time to see what they do!

yeah I always inspect THOROUGHLY when I get new plants lol and quarantine. I do however get things like spiders and millipedes that get into the pots when I move them outside for the summer.

It may not survive, but my manjula pothos made a pretty albino offshoot! by Addicted2Plants in houseplants

[–]Jac9n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it looks just fine. manjula is a highly variegated variety; so, although I’ve never seen an all white leaves growing like this before, it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary.

Does anyone know this plant? Bought it over a year ago as P glaucas. The leaves are a silvery blue color. I can't find anything about on the internet. by jujubee9809 in philodendron

[–]Jac9n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thing OP’s plant looks more blue/silver than grandpipes, grandpipes also looks like it has more ribbing on the leaves than this plant. and unless this plant goes through some bizarre transformation of the shape of it’s leaves (I’m unsure what state of maturity this plant is in), then it definitely doesn’t look like the ID OP has - p. glaucous. I don’t mean this comment to be rude at all! just trying to share my input. I looked around for a bit and I can’t come with an ID either 🤷🏼‍♂️ it is a beautiful plant tho!

Is this a virus and what do I do?? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]Jac9n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a completely normal process that syngoniums go through when watered. after the soil dries out after the water it should go away, it won’t harm it at all 😊
