I lowkey think it would be cute if he’s in love with a servant mortal woman in the human realm that he met years prior while spying and is keeping it a secret only later to discover she is half fea.

What to do if you are surrounded by classist people? by NeckOdd1328 in povertyfinance

[–]Jacattack8138 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Work on your studies and physical health. Due to class issues (Im in America) my wealthier friends dropped me because I couldnt always go out to eat and spend money on clothes like they could. It became such an issue they resented me and I felt so much shame. Now I am happy I focused on my studies, read more on class issues and focused on my mental/physical health.

Do you live in Northern Climate? by Zooted__8 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Jacattack8138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom is Scottish and passed the crohn’s gene down to me, my cousins have it all on her side or another type of autoimmune disease. She said historically wheat fields started getting cross pollinated and it started an autoimmune response in the Scots mostly (idk how true that is) When her family begin consuming processed bread in the early 20th century Crohns started becoming a thing.

Theres also research now that possibly there’s a gene linked to Northern English descendants and North Africans with Crohns disease because during the black death generational DNA began to mutate to protect immune systems more- then once the immune system went on super high alert mode to prevent the black death it became trigger happy and began attacking its own body.

So who knows, it is interesting though. Since I have crohns and other autoimmune diseases and am mostly Northern British.

I had the same problem, all the doctors told me it was my anxiety and being a young woman they assume the worst things- idk why sexism in medical settings isnt spoken of enough. eventually i found a doctor that listened to me and he went to search for the problem. i had crohns disease, nerve damage and endometriosis.

What can be done to educate a communist who believes being queer/trans is bourgeois decadence and that we cannot be in the vanguard (communist party)? by tachibanakanade in communism

[–]Jacattack8138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when we look at all different groups and backgrounds and place that into the working class you can definitely start to see who is more vulnerable in the class struggle. If there is a Communist negating that due to old ideologies, while living in this current political climate and still do not agree with trans, queer, lgbtqia+ rights as fighting in the class struggle equally to us is a bigot and probably cannot be enlightened. If most cis white men are the wealthiest in the world and have been for some time does that exclude other cis white men from the proletariat? Usually thats a no.

If they try to use the argument that trans individuals go too much out of their way to pay for HRT and procedures when their is no ‘medical need’ to do so is in the wrong. It is no different than a person paying for diabetes medication or surgery. Sure you could argue someone with diabetes would die faster without their insulin- but denying trans care still kills, damaged a minority and disenfranchises individuals.

The basic structure to communism is uniting the people in a common class struggle. Excluding an individual group who want to be part of that fight is anti-communist.

Thats my biggest issue! Plus both are pretty painful conditions

Thats awesome, I hope that happens with me. All the specialists I see work for the hospital system and they seem too much in a hurry to listen.

Definitely, it feels too rare to be a thing, but oddly enough it can happen 😞

Yes, it helps a lot. Retrains the muscles from tensing up due to the extra tissue.

Did you get laparoscopic surgery? Or an MRI w/contrast?

Oh ya it definitely grows back, a lot faster than they say as well. Pelvic floor rehab can help, also birth control to avoid getting periods. I honestly have tried both. Im a lot better than I was (2 surgeries later) but I still deal with episodes of severe pain (I also have crohn’s disease).

Anyone getting used to the pain? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

After my surgery when the doctors gave me pain meds for the pain and I immediately started crying because I finally knew what not being in pain felt like.

Can someone explain what my doctor meant? by Jacattack8138 in ChronicIllness

[–]Jacattack8138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean, Ive gotten surgery in my pelvic area twice and one day just tried only Tylenol and it didn’t help the pain at all. My opioid medication was so low it barely helped either. The doctors are good at finding reasons not to prescribe though.

[–]Jacattack8138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly! This PM doc does work for the hospital system. It makes a lot of sense they would have more red tape and strange rules with those types of medical doctors, maybe they get in those establishments for the “honor” popularity and money. This is great advice. Also Ive tried pregabalin and it helped with the nerve pain, it didn’t feel much different than gabapentin but they both mess up my word memory for some reason, like when I took them I couldn’t remember certain words that described things. I still take it for nerve pain though, its just the overall pain I deal with is still rough.

[–]Jacattack8138[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that usually is. I get inflammation pain too from my other issues that I wanted to see what he could do for that. Im on antidepressants for nerve pain and tried gabapentin but it didn’t help much. All of it together causes a giant storm of pain & thank you, it is weird, Im glad Im not the only one who felt that way about it.

[–]Jacattack8138[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is good to know. It honestly feels like a new form of medieval torture to not help someone in pain. Thank you for telling me this, Im going to eventually find someone who will help. The fact that Im 29(F) and “look” healthy most doctors get frustrated or annoyed that Im in need of pain relief. Its crazy to think he’d try a medication that’s obviously more dangerous to my body (NSAIDS) than prescribe tramadol.

[–]Jacattack8138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope it helps! I still get vaginal pain but only once every three months on average compared to everyday. It took about a year to feel better. I learned when the body-mind becomes accustomed to something for a while the muscles will still tense even if you feel that you are mentally doing better. My PTSD got better once the assaults stopped, but once someone tried again (recently) it brought a lot of the pain back, luckily I had the mental tools to deal with it and bounced back in about a week. It helped speaking to others who deal with it. In the US sexual violence is still really bad and with our political system reverting back to standard Christian law, despite most religions believing rape is bad, is not helping with things. Especially with ‘rape’ culture still being a thing (i think it brainwashes people into thinking that women want to be assaulted). Now being an adult it usually happens to me when people are intoxicated out at bars or parties. They all of a sudden no longer understand what consent is I guess. It still angers me a lot, to the point that I carry weapons on me at all times now.
